My first impression from outside was that it looked nice, but please do not be fooled by this......!!! We arrived at hotel long before check in but just to drop our bags off as we were going visiting to the hospital, the girl who answered the door didn't speak any English, she then had to go and phone someone to... I was supposed to stay there on the 22nd and 23rd of November for the Anastacia concert. About 8 days before the event however the concert was postponed until next January. I phoned the hotel to explain my predicament and was told bluntly "no you cannot change dates, it's too late now" I emailed the reservations department who ignored my... More

I booked this whilst in the area on business on the advice of my boss. I arrived at the Sapphire and checked in only to be told I would be staying at the Pearl hotel a few doors down. After reading the reviews on here I was expecting that. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful and I was... More

Was presently surprised by this hotel as its incredibly tidy and smart. In my situation it was absolutely perfect apart from the same breakfast (just eggs and toast for hot food) best points are that its close to the underground, the only minor points are the 3 flights of stairs after spending the day in london and trying to find... We arrived at the hotel which was situated on Shepards Bush Road next to one of the main roads. When we arrived the staff at first seemed very welcoming and greeted us through the door. Upon checking in one of the staff members noticed that we had booked a double room and that me and my partner were two men.... More

My coworkers and I booked for 3 nights at the Sapphire. Upon arrival, like many other guests have stated, we were redirected a couple of meters down the street to their sister hotel: The Pearl. Since we requested quiet rooms, we were redirected to the "basement" rooms. The room was quite small, with a tiny bathroom, but we were out... More

After reading some reviews we were a little concerned as to what we would be walking into upon check-in. However, we were greeted warmly and efficiently. This hotel is more like a high-end guest house but it is trying to behave like a hotel. We travel a lot, globally, usually at 4-5 * hotels, but would like to share our... More

Was initially apprehensive due to the negative reviews on here. However, when we arrived the hotel was clean and welcoming. We were allowed to store our bags in the office during the day, a big help before check in time! We had a room at the very top floor, and with three of us, the room did feel a bit... More

Booked Sapphire for convenience of night in London after show at Hammersmith Apollo. Was concerned as had read poor reports, however, when we arrived to check in we were informed (like so many others have said) that our room would be at their 'sister' hotel, the Pearl, just down the road. The two gentlemen that greeted us were friendly and... More

The overwhelming smell of sewage in the communal areas made us gag. Aggressive staff. Stiflingly hot. Had to ask for a fan for the room which we then kept tripping over because the room was tiny. Had to go down the road for breakfast. Definitely NOT worth the money we paid
