Was in London for just the one night, booked a few days previous, needed somewhere to stay for one night near to either Kings Cross/Euston. Easy to find & was surprised how near to King Cross it was for the money we paid (about 5 mins walk) Got there before 2pm (official check in time) but there was a slight... More

I can only suspect that the 'good' reviews for this hotel are done by family or robots because it was the greatest tip of a place I've ever visited. Dirty room, filthy bathroom, dust and rubbish around room, couldn't swing a cat. Could barely lift arms in tiny shower. Dust all over doors and on vents. Wifi never working. Headers... More

Came to London for a concert and needed somewhere to stay for one night near Kings Cross. We arrived before 2pm and there had been a mix up with our booking but the man on the Reception sorted it out. We had a twin bed, ground floor room which was clean and bigger than I expected. The shower had instant... More

Came here for the night with my friend, the hotel is quite small but nice. The rooms were clean, the bathroom needed updating but apart from that it was good. Nice sleep, clean sheets. We could arrive back at the hotel any time we needed.

This hotel was booked for me for a business trip - I should say that having read other reviews, I would not have chosen to stay here. I was here with colleagues, otherwise I would have left on site. My room was on the 2nd floor and there is a lift. The room was small, which is to be expected... More

Just a short walk from Kings Cross, this is in a good location. I had a double room which was a littel larger than I expected and an ensuite shower room. All pretty basic but everything you need was there and working including a kettle. The beds were basic but not uncomfortable. Despite having the window open it was surprisingly... More

In the economy of my presence in the city Arriva Hotel responds to the need to me: frugality, hygiene and especially nocturnal silence. It was the first time for a few nights in a essential room on the back in almost total absence of noise. Well the wifi with a strong signal. Well the breakfast continantale with vitamins sun (at... Stayed here a few years ago, it was a nice stay , location was good, near king's cross, that's why I came back. Unfortunately, the room looks outdated this time, wi fi signal was poor, TV was disconnected. The most disappointing thing is they now have the policy of charging left luggage , around 2-3pounds per bag. Not so friendly.... More

As my title says, this hotel is friendly and it's nice that the reception never closes. However a broken bathroom door and an appearance that says "I've never been looked after" is very off putting and depressing. I'd use this place only if I had to, there are better (and cheaper) hostels.

I left my booking until late this trip, and the usual hotels I use in London were fully booked. I left a colleague to book 'something' for us, and he picked the Arriva Hotel in Kings Cross. Lesson learnt there. The staff at the hotel are very pleasant, no issues there but I was not impressed with the cleanliness of... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
