We booked this hotel as it said it was in Camden when In fact it is a 30 minute walk, after this initial disappointment we were shown to the rooms 3 doubles, on entering the first we were all shocked by how small the rooms are, but that was the least of the problems, the duvet cover had stains on... Stayed here and wouldn't recommend, the only good thing about this place was the reception staff were friendly. The rooms were small , not very clean, had to get them to change duvet cover as was stained, the duvet had seen better days, shabby rooms. The reason we stayed here was that the hotel was in Camden, well that's what... More

Small clean central no frills and cheap.what more do you want when you just need to sleep? Couldn't fault it except the shower in room 86 was less than efficient! Didn't stay for breakfast. Gent on reception couldn't have been more polite or helpful!

The hotels I usually stay in when visiting London were all full because I made a snap decision, so I had to try an unknown. It was with some trepidation that I booked in the Kings Cross area because I was seeing a friend off on a train. The Arriva Hotel is only yards from the station, just off the... More

Suitable for the budget. Yes, small, one side entry to dble bed and no table for cases, would suit single traveller or couple going out sightseeing all day - us! Pubs, shops, eats all within 5 mins and transport. Bathroom tight and shower is sml 3/4 with low pressure, so no rugby players. Breakfast is £3.50 but free wi-fi for... More

This hotel is located close to Kings Cross station. The reception area is pleasant with comfortable seats. Unfortunately this was not reflected in the room which was small and had no seats except for a small stool. The room looked in need of some fresh paint and the amount of storage for belongings was minimal. Our room was at the... More

My friend and I stayed at this Hotel while on a recent trip to London. We have stayed in another 3 Hotels in that area in previous years, however we both felt the Arriva Hotel was by far the best value for money. We received a very warm welcome from the staff on Reception and they were exceptionally friendly and... More

An honest review if you are expexting the Hilton it is not but what it is, is a freindly hotel really accommodating the bathroom and beds were clean and had all the facilities you needed for a short stay a bargin if you ask me for a stay in central London close to station Camden somewhere to lay your head... I've stayed at Arriva hotel with a friend the last weekend and I expected much more from the photos I'd seen on internet. It's very good for the position, awful for the cleanliness and the dimensions of the rooms. The worst thing was the bathroom: wc was dirt, basin too small and the shower didn't work well (it was impossible... More

This is a disgrace. I expect budget accommodation for a fair price but I do not expect a carpet that smells, and I mean one that you can smell standing up - not sniffing the floor! Pubic hair in every corner of the bathroom and in the shower. Mould and crumbling skirting boards. And for a small room, a sizeable... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
