Room has everything you require, Bed, TV, Tea & Coffee. The bathroom couldn't be any smaller but has everything in that you need. The room was clean & well maintained. There are no frills to the hotel, if you want character then book somewhere else at twice the price!

Room was adequate, clean and very warm. It was a bit small and lacked character but did the job as a base for a weekend stay in London without breaking the bank. We didn't have breakfast so could not comment on that.

There are loads of hotels in Kings Cross at a similar price and this is the best of all those I've stayed in. The room was clean and looked recently refurbished. The bathroom was small but clean and good quality fittings. The bed was comfy, and the window opened in the room. I can't remember the last time I had... More

we chose this for its location as had to catch the train to the airport the next day. The room was adequate with tea and coffee, kettle and hairdryer which was great. Disappointed though that they charged for both wifi use and to hold our bags the next morning on checking out since we had experienced both services for free... More

my girlfriend and i stayed here for one night on the 18th November. We were catching the Eurostar in the morning so the location of this hotel was excellent as it was only a few minutes walk from St Pancras. The hotel is budget but on the better scale. The room was clean and comfortable and the noise levels were... More

I am a mid fifties woman, travelling alone and needed a cheap hotel near kings cross to get an early train. I chose arriva because it was the cheapest hotel I could get for the night, apart from a hostel! Near to kings cross I let the hotel know I would be arriving around midnight and was slightly concerned after... More

Location good, but you get what you pay for. Street noise terrible with paper thin walls. Reception also incredibly rude, unhelpful and argumentative when we were woken by builders in the room above at 9:30am (!) Would never stay here again and would highly recommend others to stay clear. A hostel would rate better than this.

Unbelievably bad. The hotel is very basic, and very noisy as the walls and floors are paper thin. The manager/receptionist was incredibly rude and ignorant when we complained about builders working in the room above in the morning. You've been warned. Find another hotel.

Booked here on a deal and regretted it. Ground floor room really noisy, poorly lit, with only a stool and a shelf to put my laptop on. Reception friendly enough, but in the end I gave up and went somewhere else.

This was booked by my office for an overnight in London, the reviews were scary and I was apprehensive. Reception was friendly, we arrived very late, the room was teeny, when I sat on the loo my face was inches from the sink, walls were thin, BUT it was clean, felt safe, was adequate for the night. I would not... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
