Firstly it's a Club so you can't just walk in off the street you need a referral from another club. And like a club it has a wonderful homey feel. Even the guests give you the impression that they are part of the family. The staff too are so friendly and helpful. Abundant fresh flower displays adorn the common rooms.... More

This was awful. The bar staff very poor, even arrogant. The clientele mainly elderly, nothing wrong in that, but the staff seemed to have attitude. The bar manager got the orders wrong because he didn't really want to listen. The food was acceptable but at the prices it should have been better than acceptable. It seemed almost obligatory to have a... More

This is not a club recip but a plain hotel, not really well located, but totally safe... And without real style. Pricy, great front desk talent, fine bathrooms but small real rooms, it you are adventurous search more. Location not commensurate with price. But with the right tolerant partner allswell.

This is a very nice upscale club, hotel in London. Everyone dresses for all meals and the bar. If you don't like wearing a coat and tie, this is probably not the place for you. It is located fairly close to the Sloane square tube station so it is easy to get anywhere in London.

My wife and I stayed in the one of the Sloane Club's new apartments in 19 Sloane Gardens for a week in January this year. Our accommodation was excellent and we were very comfortable. The furniture and fittings were all first class, as also was the service. We would highly recommend the Club's accommodation.

We were privileged to stay at The Sloane Club while attending the Chelsea Flower Show. I find I visibly relax as soon as I walk through the door! We love the lounges, the cartoon gallery, and the friendly efficient service. Food in the lounge bar this year was particularly good, especially the Moghul chicken curry. Like most of the guests... We have stayed at this hotel the past three times we have been in London. It is a very relaxing hotel, with a nice bar/lounge on the main floor where you can get tea, a glass of wine or whiskey and a meal if you like as well. We had dinner there one night and we all liked our meals.... More

We have been members of the Sloane Club for some time and find it to be an oasis of calm! It may not be the most 'buzzing' of venues, but it is comfortable and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Last year, my husband had some complications after surgery while we were staying at the Club and the staff... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
