I stayed here as a single traveler for nearly three weeks in June 2014 (visiting someone in St. Mary's Hospital) and found it more than merely acceptable for the bargain (by London standards) price of 50 pounds a night for a single traveler. The single rooms are small but adequate (with wardrobes rather than closets, a small desk, a double... More

Nice B&B near Paddington Station (3 min walk). It's a silent area so you can rest properly. The rooms are quite small and the bathroom too, but after a long day spent walking around the city a bed is all you need. Cheap and nice

The room was small, but clean and we had everything - comfortable bed, tv, wifi, small closet, clean bathroom and hot radiator. Stuff was also very polite and welcoming and we had really good breakfast... I will definitely come here again, because of the combination of very good price and location and hotel itself are not possible to say no.

My mom and I stayed at Monopole Hotel at the end of May 2013 and had a great experience. We paid for a double room and actually received a triple room for the same price. We also had an ensuite bathroom (some rooms do not), and the only issue we had was that the shower did not have a curtain.... More

I have just spent a week at The Monopole, and it was all in all a very nice experience. As said in other reviews here, the hotel isn't new or flashy, it's a bit worn all right, but in my opinion that's actually a plus in my book. Makes it cosier. The rooms are clean and of a modest size.... More

On the last weekend I and my family visited London, once again. As usual we were installed in the Monopole Hotel. This bed and breakfast has a good location in a quiet place with a good price for the London standarts.Yes, the rooms are small, especially bathrooms, the breakfast isn´t a real "full english breakfast", but for the price and... Hotel serve "typical English breakfast": toasts, 2 eggs and piece of bacon. But it's a good price for a room. Towels are change every day, also room was vacuum every day... More

We loved here very much, the place was clean and the breakfast was always freshy done and we where always asked if we wanted more. Beds were always done everyday, showers were cleaned every day and noise was minimum. For the problem in the shower floor we just asked for more towels which where glady given and we just used... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Your visit to London as a tourist will be both an enjoyable and exhausting affair and our family run hotel is the ideal place to recharge. Monopole Hotel is centrally located but distant enough to provide tranquil nights in the 24 hour city. The hotel is within five minutes walk of Paddington Station, which not only gives you access to ‘the tube’ (aka the London Underground) but to the National rail as well which allows you to take day trips outside London to Oxford and Windsor. This station also provides a direct link to Heathrow Airport and for those who prefer to take to London on foot, we are ten minutes walk away from Marble Arch, Oxford Street (which is the main shopping promenade), Hyde Park, and Madame Tussauds. ... more   less
