Two stays a week apart. After first stay, we discussed suitable rooms re: stairs and safety. When we checked in for the 2nd stay, the only twin room left was on the 4th floor. While they helped haul up our bags to the room, this was very inconvenient and tiring to climb all those stairs. The staff offered untrue statements... More

Crestfield Hotel is an amazing budget-end hotel that delivers service far above its size. It is located a stone's throw from KX station. On exiting the station, simply cross the road directly in front of you - head towards the Post Office shop - turn left and Crestfield Street is first right, past the ubiquitous Macdonalds on the corner. It's... More

My main concern was the lack of security. I was given a half-basement room, an easy jump down from the street - no security grid or lock on the window. What frustrated me most was the lack of even the tiniest of cupboards - the few hangers right on top of the electric kettle were useless. Living a whole week... More

Room was the size of a shoe box very uncomfortable and no space to swing a cat, no air con, was put on the top floor, no lift, had to walk up horrible stairs, grubby, staff sleeping in the bar area, plumbing was really bad, the shower cubical was very small, coming from the bathroom to the bedroom nearly tripped... I stayed here by myself in this hotel from August 19th the 22nd. I thought the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a dog who resides at this hotel who is sweet, very quiet and friendly. He was not bothersome and mainly lies outside or by the door sleeping. The breakfast was FREE and included cereal, toast, fruit, ham,... More

My husband and I stayed here because we were coming into London and leaving from Kings Cross and only had 3 days in London. The hotel was convenient for that reason, but that was the only good thing. The room was so tiny. It was incredibly loud at night, with drunk people screaming right outside our window. The owner lets... More

A nice hotel near all neccessary transportation. It takes only 3 minutes to Kings Cross station. Lays in a area that has nice restaurants and pubs. Nice but pretty small room with nice bathroom. Decent cold breakfast and friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi. I would stay here again.

The Crestfield Hotel is just across from Kings Cross/St Pancras which makes it easy to get anywhere on the underground. There a numerous restaurants around and a shop for water, toiletries etc. The Hotel has character but no lifts. Beware if you have mobility issues. Our room and bathroom was big enough for our needs, clean and comfortable. All the staff... More

Super convenient if you're travelling to or from King's Cross St Pancras. The area is also nice as a base to explore London (walk up the canal to Camden or down the road to Bloomsbury). Like most cheapish options in central London, the rooms are tiny. Unlike most cheapish options in central London, they have actual windows, decent wifi, comfy... More

Hotel has very very clean rooms and nice breakfast. There's air ventilation system in the bathroom, that starts working when you enter and keeps on working for 15 minutes or more and it's really noisy, so think twice before going there at night :)

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
