All I can say for 90 quid for twin room in late June this was a little gem..quite central on Piccadilly line..full breakfast of cereals ..toast. preserves, bacon sausage and beans and tomatoes and filter coffee.. Staff very friendly, rooms immaculate, shared bathroom but was kept very clean.. Would definatley go back..cheap clean and central..

The George was the perfect place for me to stay in London by myself for a few days as I met up with my daughter after her studies abroad. Having dropped loads of dollars on my daughter's educational experiences, the value offered at the George was most welcome. My single ensuite room was tiny but comfortable, with a lovely view... We used to come here often on vacation (twice a year) as this hotel had sentimental values for us, BUT our previous stay was so DISAPPOINTING that we have to look for another place next time. This time we traveled for business and the fact that breakfast was only from 8am made it very difficult. We arrived 7:45 to the... More

We arrived late in the evening and we had to leave early and were told can't do breakfast till 8 but we can bring some to room. This happened got one bowl to share between us and some toast with 1 plate. When u pay £132 u expect at least that u can get up at 7 am in London... More

We stayed for 3 nights, as three friends, in a triple room. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The room was clean, comfortable, modern, nicely furnished, with an ensuite wetroom with mini toiletries. Breakfast was busy and we had to wait for a table each morning but the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was great and... More

I have stayed here several times over the past 8 years or so. Two years ago, there were a few problems with the hotel, I think with tour groups who were very noisy partying all night, broke down a door etc. Fortunately, the hotel staff or management has since decided to keep their clientele to the average tourist or student... Booked a room for 5 nights and nowhere was it mentioned, that toilet and shover was to share and to be found outside the room! Room located in cellar and few minutes after entering the room the Underground could be heard - loud! Trains stopped at Midnight and started 05.30. End of sleep. When I approached the front desk with... More

Very good location located a few minutes away from the Underground & several bus stops that go central. Clean but very small (as expected in London). My problem was that the Wifi wasn't working for me or for my partner.

I stayed in a single room with private en suite. The room was clean and adequate but I could almost touch each adjacent wall with my arms outstretched, so you can expect compact, rather than large rooms. The room was also on the third floor and with no lift facility I soon grew tired climbing the steep steps to my... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
