I stayed for one night in the George Hotel, it was a great location very handy for King's Cross and the British Museum. The bed was really comfy. There was some renovation work going on but nothing to disturb, and good to see effort going into keeping the place upgraded.

Lovely hotel/B&B, in a great location; close to theatres, shops, gardens, the tube and shopping. I was pleasantly surprised to find this 'budget hotel' so pleasant, friendly and clean. The rooms were spacious, warm and quiet - perfect for a few nights stay in a busy loud city like London. Apart from the outbreak of spiders scuttling across my bed... More

I usually stay more centrally, but as such hotels are 'out of budget' at this time of year, I was booked the George. I have to say I was quite pleased to have been booked in here. Lots of pluses: lovely location - the crescent it is situated on, and nearby Marchmont Street is a delight - a lively, cosmopolitan... More

Stayed on my own when attending a conference at the university which was 5 mins walk away. Also 5 mins from St Pancras etc so very convenient. Located on a lovely crescent. I had a 3 rd floor room so quite a lot of steps to climb. Lovely newly refurbished room though. It was really warm when I was there... More

I stayed for two nights on a business trip. I was looking for somewhere close to King's Cross station and also within walking distance of the venue for the conference I was attending and the George seemed perfectly located - it is about a ten minute walk from station and roughtly 20 minutes from my conference. At only £90 for... More

There are a lot of things wrong with this place including the artex on the walls, the generally shabby appearance, the broken sash windows etc but this hotel is £90 in the heart of London, it is clean and it is perfectly presentable. I just wanted a bed for the night and it was more than adequate, if you want... More

The location in Bloomsbury between the British Museum and King's Cross/St.Pancras Stations is very convenient..Eurostar is a ten minute walk away; so are six underground lines and many useful buses. Cartwright Gardens is quiet, but it opens onto Marchmont Street which offers restaurants, pubs, shops, post office, so that most needs can be satisfied nearby. I enjoy the gardens in... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in a triple room in June 2014. The hotel is very small but very pleasant, good looking, very clean above all, and I enjoyed the English breakfast too. The staff is very kind and helpful towards any kind of request. The price, compared to most London hotels, is extremely cheap. The location... More

Spent last weekend at this hotel and was quite happy with my choice. I wanted to be near King Cross Station, near a decent tube line - the Piccadilly line runs past the two nearest tubes stops - Russsell Square and Kings Cross/St Pancras. The Piccadilly Line is also extremely handy for the museums/Buckingham Palace/Leicester Sq and Covent Garden amongst... More
