I live relatively near to London so consequently had never stayed in a hotel before. However having a friend to stay and feeling the need for a night away from home we booked the George along with a theatre show. It was perfect for walking to Picadilly to see the show and we visited the British Library and British Museum,... More

Stayed a couple of times now in the newly refurbished rooms. Really friendly staff, great location for the City and surrounded by decent pubs and restaurants. For this kind of price, you won't get much better.

I stayed here for 1 night after leaving a previous London accommodation and I am so happy I chose here. It was so lovely and welcoming...from the minute I arrived to the minute I left. The staff have been very friendly and helpful and always had a smile...and I only stayed 1 night. The room was lovely and modern and... More

In Cartwright Gardens this hotel is close to Euston and St Pancras trains stations; not too hard to walk with suitcases and tube stations Euston and Russell Square are also a short walk away. The rooms are quite spacious for London, with good facilities for the rating. Breakfast is served in the morning room by friendly waitresses who will rearrange... More

Stuck in London for the night on the way back from Paris and booked this very last minute. What a lovely surprise and for a bargain price! A spacious double room with lovely decor, wooden floors and a 'wet room' shower room, on the top floor of this Georgian (I think) terrace. I felt the hallways and breakfast room could... More

Nice small hotel. Near underground station Russel square. And King's Cross and Euston. Not expensive. Breakfast not special, but okay. Also cornflakes etc when you don't like the english breakfast. Tea/coffee making possible in your room. Quiet. Wifi did function okay. No elevator.

My wife and I stayed here whilst visiting a relative in hospital. The hotel is located in a lovely old fashioned terrace of properties where parking is restricted. However, being a Blue Badge holder I was permitted to park in the resident's bays (a big thank you to Camden Council). There are two fairly big steps leading up to the... More

Went to the George hotel in Feb 2015 for a weekend stay. I was a bit apprehensive having read some of the reviews but I actually found my stay pleasant and quite comfortable. The price was good for the location. Can't complain with £75 per night especially that close to Euston Station. I managed to get a single room on... More

Stayed here for two nights whilst on a two day training course. The hotel was not my choice unfortunately.... Positives - Staff are friendly and helpful, but the receptionist was not the most lively of characters at 2000 when I checked in. Breakfast was ok and good quality ingredients; more beans and less bacon and sausage but served with a... More

This place has mostly great selling points, with one or two things they could improve on majorly. Excellent location, close to a few major tube stations. This is the best thing about the George! A wonderful spot for exploring. Close to a few nice restaurants and pubs too, as well as the shops. The hotel itself could do with updating,... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
