This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Don’t spoil your stay in London. I felt sorry for the staf... We stayed as less as possible at the hotel and didn’t used the including breakfast in the basement. How is it possible that places like this can stay opened, is there no control at all?

Box room with a shower plonked in with the rest of the squashed in furniture. Hot and stuffy and could not turn off the radiator. Had to jar the window open as wouldn't stay open, dirty curtains. Loud guests could be heard regularly in the early hours, some of whom opened our bedroom door in the middle of the night... More

well....what a dreadful disappointment. A star for location but sadly this is its only good point. From a sardine can sized room, to skirting boards thick with dust, sink in room - tap only provides cold water. Stains on bedding, holes in curtains, even the garden is a mess! Severe lack of love in this hotel. Shared bathroom shower had... More

After reading the reviews on here about this hotel I was close to tears about staying here, specially due to me being pregnant. The hotel is in need of up to date bedding. The room me & my hubby had was an en-suite, room 16 & was great for a weekend away when we were hardly in. The bedding, room... More

Do not stay here! I paid £75 per night during tube strike. Huge mistake but did have much choice of changing hotel as all fully booked and inflated prices. I stayed in room 15 and I was close to tears when I saw that the back door was held closed with a rabbit hutch hook. I was then greeted by... More

We got this on Late Bookings, and the price was not too bad for the locality, within walking distance of the British Museum - £99 for the room for two, with breakfast, cut down, supposedly, from £155 (which would have been daylight robbery!). Sadly, It wasn't anything like as nice as it looked in the website pictures. The whole place... More

Stayed 2 nights in a single room. The Garth is located right around the corner of Goodge Street tube station (Northern line), by just 1 change (to Circle line) you can reach Oxford Circus within a few minutes - this is really great!! The British Museum, too, is not very far, your can even walk to Leicester Square within 20-25... More

Stayed at the hotel for one night in October. Room was probably the smallest I've slept in, as the door was unable to open fully due to the bed. The floor was a bit dirty and it seemed that a poor effort to isolate the room hadn't been successful, seeing as the isolation was visible on the walls and the... More

This was probably once a lovely house, managed with care and pride, and if you can look past the dirt and decay you can see glimmers of what it once was, and still could be if the owners had any sense of decency or insight. The photos on the website are not current. The garden they show online was in... More

I stayed here for two nights at the end of September (Room No. 19, if I remember correctly. A double room with en-suite WC and shower, ground floor, facing the backyard). The location is super convenient - I think that this is the biggest sell of this place. The room interior is tacky, and the WC and shower are basic... More
