Stayed for 1 night for a photo shoot on location in London. The hotel was booked at short notice, it's 5 minutes to Euston Square tube - location was perfect for what I needed. Room 12 is up three flights of stairs, at the front of the hotel. The room was basic but spotless and I slept well, the breakfast... More

I was in London, for 1 short night this week, selected the Garth Hotel from LateRooms. It's location is perfect, 15 mins walk from Euston and 15 mins from Covent Garden. I was upgraded from a single to a twin room, for London ,it was a decent size, ie I couldn't touch all 4 walls with my outstretched arms, contained... More

We stayed in a private double room facing the front side. The rooms are very outdated. They all need a serious renewal. When booking it make sure you are booking a correct room (private or shared bathroomed). If you are a super clean freak, it might not be the best choice you will make. The beds are old, the pillows... More

This hotel is in a great location, very close to Leicester Square. The rooms are small but are clean. The staff are very nice & polite. We stopped for 1 night which was fine. There was some work going on when we was there but didn't get in our way, so maybe when all the work is done it may... More

Given some of the reviews, we were a little apprehensive about our stay. I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised, yes the rooms were basic and could benefit from some refurbishment, but they were clean. Our rooms were on the ground floor (one en-suite and the other not). The staff were friendly and courteous and the breakfast was... More

This hotel needs a complete renovation but if your looking for something central and not staying too long (1 or2 nights) it's ok. It's just a few minutes walk from the nearest tube station and a short walk to centre of Bloomsbury.

The photos on there website is not what we found on our arrival, our twin room was the size of a rabbit hutch, my matteress was worn out on one side, falsing me to roll out the bed, my friends matteress looked like it belonged in a cot, as it no where near fitted the bedstead. There was what looked... More

Having messed up on a hotel booking, we were in need of a bed for the night, no chance for reviews and booked the Garth. Got an electric shock from the light switch at the top of the stars which go down to reception, shocking really. We did not realise that we had booked just a room, with the toilet... More

The hotel and rooms are very small, and comparably pricey for what you get. The customer service was terrible which is the main reason we would not visit the hotel again or recommend it to friends/family.

The receptionist was extremely helpful and made me feel welcome when I arrived. Although I was lucky I found it as the door number is missing. My stay was for business so, so long as I had a bed, good WiFi, nice food and a warm hotel room I was happy and it ticked all of the boxes. If I... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
