If you're looking for a dorm experience while on vacation, you may enjoy this, but if not - stay far far away! The rooms were old, small and very uncomfortable. We had a pull out futon for a bed, which meant poor sleep. The shared bathrooms were HORRIBLE. One stall had a clogged toilet the whole time we were there,... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Trip Advisor. Carr-Saunders may be an old building, but we have always prided ourselves on our standard of cleanliness and we are happy to note the numerous comments from other Trip Advisor reviewers will bear testament to that. Your feedback is important to us and I am very sorry... More

Thumb up: Location cannot be better. Sitting on a very quiet road adjacent to Fitzroy Square, away from noisy main street, but within 5 mins by walk you can reach Warren st tube station and 10 mins to Euston station. Semi-self service English full breakfast included in the room price. Helpful and friendly staff. Kitchen with basic facilities to make... More

We had stayed here before and been happy with the price and location so decided to stay again. The rooms are very basic, but sufficient cupboard space and a sink. No in room TV or tea/coffee making, although there is a kitchen with kettles, fridges and cups. Towels and basic toiletries provided. Toilets and showers - all spotlessly clean -... More

As a seasoned traveler to London I often use LSE accommodation. It is student halls but don't let that put you off. It is cheap, clean and feels safe and secure and in convenient locations for the tubes and buses. The room at Carr - Saunders Hall was ideal for my self and my daughter. Spacious, clean and tidy. The... More

Stayed there for a concert - good, clean room with comfortable beds. I didn't like the sound of a shared bathroom but it was clean and didn't cause any problems. Really convenient and in a good location, not a long walk from the tube station. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Only complaint would be that when walking into the... More

Cannot complain about the location, 10/15 minute walk from Euston Station and the same from Leicester Square etc., the other way, also. Room was basic, but clean and did the job. Ensuite sink in room had dodgy taps. Showers facilities were good and clean however. Staff were friendly enough. Cheap and ideal for a night in London, as opposed to... More

Carr-Saunders is very good value for money, although I still prefer the LSE accommodation in High Holborn and Drury Lane as they are even closer to the West End theatres and the Covent Garden area. Breakfast in High Holborn is even more varied than breakfast in Carr-Saunders, although it's not a full English breakfast.

This is not luxury accommodation, but it's incredibly good value - £45, incl. a decent breakfast, in central London. You can walk to Theatreland, National Gallery, Westminster, South Bank etc. I have stayed several times, and think the bathrooms are better than they used to be. I recommend it as a London crashpad, as I would all the LSE halls.

Despite the friendly staff I had to leave after two nights (I had booked for 8). The room was shabby and worn out. The mattrass awful!!! I couldn't sleep at all! Avoid at all costs! Would have slept better under a bridge!!

The rooms are very clean, but the bathrooms not so much. It is five blocks from two tube stations and close to many tourist attractions. The breakfast is delicious. The staff could be more polite and helpful.
