I used the LSE Bankside in the period from 09 to 15 September 2013, I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely return again. The staff was extremely polite no matter what time you arrived on. The English breakfast was a great way to start the day, but they have a lot of food to choose between. the site... More

We booked a comfort double room (that's the name given in this hotel to two individual rooms sharing the bathroom), both rooms were quite big, both of them with a table, chair, wardrobe, chest of drawers, a bedside table and obviously a bed. The rooms were very clean and had a lovely view to St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tate... More

Stayed here nearly 2 weeks. Great location, clean adequate sized rooms. shared bathroom was no problem as it still felt private. Friendly helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Cleaning of rooms was sometimes irregular, as in more than 2 days for clean towels or soap, but if I needed anything it was done promptly when asked at the desk. I would... More

In this location is difficult to find this price with the privacy offered. The room is simple but comfortable, the shared bathroom is placed in a private hallway, so you share the bathroom only with 1 neighbour. I would stay there again.

Stayed for 3 nights towards end of Sept. Decent sized single room. Clean room and bathroom, though shower a bit small. Good location, just behind TATE Modern and the Millenium bridge. The nearest tube is at Blackfriars, a 10 - 15 min walk across Blackfriars bridge. Breakfast - good spread, but limited to any 6 items, and unlimited tea, coffee,... More

Had an enjoyble 2 weeks stay in this place. The location near the Thames is excellent with the Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, St Paul's nearby. Nearest tube station (Southwark or London Bridge) a 5-10 minutes walk. The English breakfast was a great way to start the day. Staff were friendly and rooms were cleaned each day. The room is pretty... More

don't expect first class hotel with room service, but a clean room to rest and sleep while staying in London, near restaurants, shops and underground station, with friendly staff and mixed customers. Perfect for those who still feel student inside, to avoid for ladies and gentlemen who want to feel 1st class people waiting for grooms to take them to... More

The location is brilliant and so very easy to get to all the places we had come to London to see. We got to breakfast early to avoid the queue and couldn't fault what was provided to start the day. Staff at the desk were extremely helpful and we had no problems leaving our luggage in the room at reception... More

Great value for money - £62 for a double room (single occupancy) B&B with en suite. You won't find that for even twice the price anywhere nearby. Superb location, ideal for the Southbank Centre, Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and many city attractions.Plenty of towels - which were needed - see the below. The breakfast was excellent but the serving staff... More

Dear Paul H, We're delighted to hear that you found Bankside House great value for money during your stay here. I'm also pleased to hear that you found our breakfast excellent.
