The only thing we enjoyed at this hotel was the location. It is 10 min walk from the Oxford Street, Lancaster Gate and Paddington tube are also very close. However, the rooms are very small and the bathroom is so tiny that your feet stick out when you are sitting on a toilet. What a stupid feeling. The furniture, the... More

Many thanks ‘Dolores2107’ for posting a review. As you rightly point out our hotel is superbly located near Oxford Street and Hyde Park. I do however take exception with your comments about the condition of our rooms. We take enormous pride in providing clean and comfortable accommodation. Some of our rooms have modular bathrooms which are not only a great... More

Overall, we were pretty happy with the hotel and wouldn't mind staying there again. Location: Really close to Paddington station and many bus services. Also an easy walk through Hyde park to some museums/attractions, and to the start of Oxford st for shopping. Perfect. Rooms (and all that): The room was big enough for us to sleep and have our... The front desk staff were very helpful, and although we arrived before the scheduled check-in time, we got a room immediately. The size of the room was just enough for two friends travelling. The location is great, Paddington is just around the corner. Tube-stop is also within short walking distance, as well as Hyde Park. A big plus for one of... More

Well in my opinion Castleton hotel fulfils all your basic needs, dont go there expecting a luxurious room or an american standard size room cause you will get disappointed. I stayed at castleton hotel for a week with my parents (3 people) and we reserved the quadruple room. We stayed at the lowest floor (the basement) and from what I've... More

Having spent a long time looking online for a good budget hotel around Central London I'm glad I chose this one. It is clean (including the shower room), the television (Freeview) works, and the breakfast (buffet Full English) is very good indeed. Turning on the heating that worked well and quickly too. Having stayed in grotty so called hotels twice... More

Rooms are not large, a bit noisy with the room adjacent to some kind of central heating. The hotel is priced according to what you get, a clean room with the required amenities. Only two gripes I had with the hotel were that the bathroom is not comfortable for use, meaning that it is quite small and seems to be... More

First off, the rooms are small but it's what we expected for inner-London. There was plenty of room however to walk around, open bags etc. so you get what you pay for. The bathroom was decently sized and the shower had decent water pressure. The breakfasts were a stock standard affair of bacon, eggs, sausages and coffee and plenty on... More

This hotel offers good value for a London Hotel. The location is great, just a couple of minutes from the station, off Praed Street with the entrance on London Street. A single room with breakfast was £64. The room was in the basement and though small was ensuite with room to hang clothes and very clean. The staff were very... More

Thank you 'Lunar T' for taking time to review my hotel. Unfortunately as your review contains absoluely no information I am finding it very difficult to respond to your comments about my 'rude and arrogant staff '. I will say that in their defence my staff have been trained to be professional and polite even when faced with rude and... More
