Kept waiting in reception on arrival as they couldn't find our booking. Reception staff (two males) were surly and arrogant, although one did help us carry a case up 8 flights of stairs as lift is out of use and will be for quite some time. Compensation was free breakfast which quite honestly wasn't up to very much. Free newspaper.... more

I stayed here with a friend for a Saturday night. Plus points are good location close to Paddington and Lancaster Gate, very clean and staff were friendly. Negatives are room was tiny and the shower in the bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen! Anyone over a size 12 would struggle to fit. Lift broken so a bit of a... more

We found a very good deal on the internet at the last minute for this hotel (£74 for a double room with breakfast when the full price was said to be around£350, but who on earth would pay that for a room anyway?). The hotel is small but well located in a quiet side street near Lancaster Gate and Paddington... more

The location is excellent. Just a few minutes walk from Paddington train station. However the room are pretty small & the sound insulation rather poor. The worst part is the the toilet. It is so small that it is hardly usable. The breakfast is good. But for the amount we paid, we guess we could get a better deal elsewhere more

This is not the best hotel I've ever stayed in but it is the best value. £59 for a stylish double room with all the amenities you might need. I was told my room (809) was in the basement and my heart sank but I need not have worried. It still had a window looking out to a pleasant courtyard... more

Be VERY wary of this hotel - i have stayed here 6 times and my bank statement shows that on each time i checked in, within an hour my card was being used to withdraw cash from a nearby cash machine in Video Cafe. I beleive that the Reception or the hotel is cloning credit cards and stealing from guests... more

I booked this as a "secret deal" online, when I discovered the location and read the previuos reviews I was somewhat concerned to say the least. However I was allocated a clubroom - large room, with loads of facilities - huge tv, fridge, microwave, ironing board, aircon and so on. It was amazing value, everything worked, very good location, so... more

From reading the other reviews I was expecting something along the lines of Faulty Towers! On arriving we were told the room wasn't ready, which was fine as check in time is after 14:00, so we went off to explore. When getting back to the hotel we were given the room key - first floor - no lift, but there... more

Arrived at hotel only to be notified that room was not safe to occupy due to overrunning maintenance work. Offered alternative accomodation in suitable part of London so we cancelled stay. Very disapointed that hotel had not contacted me to say room was not available in advance of us turning up at Hotel. Plus to compound my frustration I have... more

basically we got there only to find out we were on the top floor and the lift was out. we got in to our room which was smaller than i have ever experienced. I know rooms in london are never the biggest, but you basically had to shuffle sideways between the end of the bed and the TV. The room... more
