The only good thing about this place was the bathroom which was surprisingly nice. Powerful shower but because walls are paper thin next door's shower woke me up. Room was tiny and shabby, bed old and saggy. Can't comment on breakfast, it finishes at nine so I missed it. Only thing in favour of the Craven is it's comparatively cheap.... More

This hotel was absolutely horrid. Me and my partner tend to get hotels in London once or twice per month and this was by far the worse. We were supposed to stay on Boxing Day for 1 night when we arrived at the hotel the receptionist was on his mobile, he upgraded us to a family room so that we'd... More

Service is somewhat helpful. The room switch on the first night due to lack of elevator and plentiful luggage was appreciated. Small room, smaller bathroom. However clean and acceptable for a short stay. Only 1 electric socket available though! Breakfast was good. Location is great, Lancaster gate tube station and Kensington Gardens/Hyde park are just around the corner. Overall, as... More

Myself and a couple friends stayed in this hotel for one night on Saturday. On arrival the staff were lovely and on departure the staff were also lovely. It was only when we left the problem happen. On arrival we paid for our stay in full in cash. He took the money gave us a receipt. I have ALSO be... More

We stayed here for a Saturday night to visit the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. The hotel is clearly in the middle of a renovation so I can't really comment on the decor. We were on the second floor and had to walk up four flights of stairs which were quite steep. This wasn't a problem for us, even though it... More

I usually take reviews with a pinch of salt but this hotel is horrendous! We knew the hotel was not going to be amazing but expected a reasonable standard. When we checked in we went to our room to discover building work being carried out. The building work started at 8.30am-6pm. We were at no point told of this and... More

Stayed for 1 Monday night. Good location and value for money for a quick overnight stay, while visiting Winter Wonderland from the Isle of Wight. Obviously hotel in the middle of refurbishments, but not noisy at all. Reception staff very friendly, but breakfast staff leave a lot to be desired. Entered the breakfast area, where no staff apparent, found a... More

Location is quite good but...the rooms are super small, smelly carpet, no lift, extremely unfriendly stuff ...for more than 100pound per night you'd expect a bit more. there is even dust around it seems they are still renovating. Don't come here! it's a scam.

Okey hotel. Very simple, but this is what you get in London for this money. Good location, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely enough for a weekend in London when you're not gonna spend a lot of time at the hotel anyway. Breakfast included a plus, even though it was a bit poor (typically British).
