Ideally situated for Albert Hall and Museums. Room in desperate need of modernisation, bathroom consisted of WC, Washbasin and Shower and was located in was what probably a cupboard, barely room to stand in front of wash basin. Continental Breakfast was Fruit, Cereals, Yoghurt, fruit Juices and toast.

This hotel is well run and very clean. Continental breakfast was of a good standard if basic. The marmalade was Duerr’s not some non-descript imitation paste and the coffee was pleasant. Extremely handy for the tube and Natural History Museum plus V & A is only a 12 minute walk away. Indian restaurant attached to hotel offered a discount and... More

We couldn't have found a better location for our stay! Right opposite the Gloucester Road tube (Piccadilly line) so a direct journey from Kings Cross, minutes from the Natural History Museum and V&A and a pleasant walking distance from Harrods. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and welcoming. For the price we paid, the rooms were excellent value.... More

Just home from a stay here. I was excited after reading reviews online. When we arrived the staff were lovely and welcoming, nice enough reception. We went to our room and unfortunately we were very disappointed. It was clean however so it made do. It's very run down and in bad need of a freshen up. It was musty and... More

stayed 4-6th Jan. Room was clean and warm. The museums are literally around the corner so this is the perfect place to stay for walking distance. Hotel was quiet so we had a great night sleep. Had extra blanket in the wardrobe which is great for hermits like myself that like comfort to sleep. Bathroom was small but to be... More

As always, very warm welcome, helpful staff, excellent breakfast, very good room with large towels, good shower, excellent location. All in all, very good value for money. Last time, we had room 408. Perfect, big room with tea facilities.

I stayed here only one night after a couple of lovely days in the countryside. I found the location to be awesome! Just a block & 1/2 from the Gloucester Road Underground station with connections to the Picadilly, Green and Yellow lines, and about a 7 minute walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Shopping. There were also great restaurants within... More

Stayed 23rd Dec - This hotel looks stunning from the outside. Staff were really helpful, polite and professional. Room was basic, a little old fashioned but very clean and had everything we needed. Continental Breakfast was lovely, the service was again professional and friendly! Would highly recommend this Hotel for a short stay

Only stayed for one night. The location is great, just minutes from Gloucester Road Station. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant. The room was very small, although you kind of expect that for some London hotels. The bed was comfortable and there was tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was average size with a good hot power shower.... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
