We had an amazing time. The hotel was clean, safe, and in an amazing location. We really enjoyed our visit. Would definitely stay with them again. They gave excellent recommendations and took the time to explain how to get places. It felt like a home away from home.

The hotel has a great location: is close to tube station and at same time, to Kensington Gardens. The staff was helpful, breakfast is simple but good and the price is reasonable. My room was small, but since I was alone and traveling for business purposes, that was okay. I'll certainly consider this place again if I return to London.

Found through booking.com, a very reasonable room rate for a decent central London hotel. Near Gloucester Road underground station and within easy walking distance of museums and the Royal Albert Hall. Our room was on the main road side so traffic noise was somewhat obtrusive (needs double glazing, ideally); but all the same we slept very well on the firm... More

Enormously surprised to find this little gem for the night on a visit to the Royal Albert Hall. The frontage plus the reception area were inviting. The location was everything for shopping, transport & museums. The service was attentive & the room was quiet with all the facilities. Here comes the rub-all this for £89 incl.continental breakfast with as much toast/coffee as you could possibly... The answer, of course, is not a great deal. However, MH is very conveniently located just across the road from Gloucester Road underground station and is only a few minutes' walk from the museums and South Kensington. Our room was pretty basic, with a fairly cramped bathroom, but it seemed clean enough and everything worked. MH has the smallest lift... More

Disgusting place. Room and bathroom both were very dirty. Curtains had strange white stains, revolting. Staff were not very friendly. We booked for seven nights and we had to leave after two days as it was unbearable.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
