I visited London to see my cousin, unfortunately I got lost, my battery died so I needed a place to stay for the night. Luckily I found this hotel! The staff is very friendly and helpful enough to contact my cousin who is still working. So I decided to check in to have a little rest before exploring London. The... More

It was my first time in London and I was looking for a nice place to stay that was central and wouldn't burst my budget, I ended up staying at the Jesmond Dene Hotel. It was a lovely experience. Clean accommodation, courteous staff and quiet nights (sleep was great!). The hotel was generally serene and the excellent breakfasts made it... More

I loved this place! It's in walking distance from Kings Cross Station, the staff was friendly and very helpful and our room was cleaned daily during our stay, which I consider a big plus. And their breakfast is delicious, too! All in all, a big recommendation for this hotel.

I am the kind of traveler that always looks for budget-friendly accommodations. I found this hotel and oh boy I just loved my experience because aside from being inexpensive, the staffs are great in terms of customer service and the room was just cozy, a perfect place after a tiring flight.

This was our first time in city looking for affordable decent place to live and explore the city. After searching here and there, Jesmond Dene Hotel was just veracious choice for us. Location is the precious gem of Jesmond Dene Hotel; it was so convenient to explore things without losing our self in the mist. King's Cross St. Pancras tube... More

Like most London hotels, this one is a former home and has smaller rooms than we Aussies are used to at home. However, the self contained apartment we stayed in was just the ticket with a separate kitchen and bathroom of generous size. The main room huge with a dining table and two seater lounge as well as large built... More

As many reviewers have noted, the convenient location so close to Kings Cross and St Pancras stations is the biggest asset of this B and B. However, the surrounding area is not especially attractive or interesting for London. We recommend a short walk back to the Bloomsbury area for restaurants. The rooms are small and rather worn, but well cleaned... More

I recently stayed at The Jesmond Dene Hotel. We chose it for the reasonable price and its location 5 minutes walk from kings cross. The Check in went smooth. We had to carry our very heavy luggage ourselves up several flight of stairs but managed quite well!, the room had 2 small single beds but was clean and the beds... More

We ended up staying at the Jesmond Dene Hotel due to a last minute change in plans that led to us needing a room near Kings Cross. The hotel is conveniently located near Kings Cross/St. Pancras and fine for a one night stay. Rooms are tiny and receive little circulation (since our smelled like stale curry) -- the two of... I was looking for a well located, clean and inexpensive place where to stay for a couple of nights. This hotel ticked all the boxes. Staff was very cordial, fast and relaxed. I overheard giving really good advices to other guests when asking for informations about travelling and I was positively impressed. The room was simply cosy and clean with... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
