For our first trip to London we're glad we chose this Hotel as it's very close to Victoria Train and Coach stations. It's small and cosy with nice helpful staff and a lovely Continental breakfast. It doesn't have a lift so if you have a problem climbing stairs be sure to mention that when booking and request a room on... More

If you're from America you'll likely think the rooms are small, however they're probably standard for Europe. A basic, no frills room, great for young travelers or folks who like being out and about and exploring sites :) Great location, more of a neighborhood than city feel but within walking distance to heart of London & major sites. I was... More

A lot of hotels in London in this price range are much worse and run down than the Blades Hotel. Prepare yourself for a no-frills experience, fifth floor room with no lift, creaky stairs, small and old-fashioned bathrooms, mediocre beds etc. In spite of this I would probably book this hotel again: The management seemed to be working on improving... No complaints here. Friendly staff. Located near a tube station. The breakfast was pretty good too. When we checked in for our double room, they put us up in a triple room at no charge. I'm not going to complain that this or that was small. YOU ARE IN LONDON, you are not there to stay in your hotel room.... More

This review could be long winded in its praise for this delightful family owned and efficiently run home from home for anyone wanting excellent value for a visit to london. However, brevity will suffice because those who stay at blades will find it very hard to fault anything. Warm, welcoming reception staff are spendidly helpful. Rooms are very clean, cheerful,... We stayed at Blades one night as we wanted somewhere convenient to Victoria Coach Station and the Goya Pimlico restaurant. It is also very close to a stop for the number 24 'bus and not far from Victoria rail station. Most of the hotels in this area are converted houses so one has to have reasonable expectations. Bathrooms have been... More

They had 2 small plumbing problems, but they fixed them immediately. This is reasonable, since it is an old building. They are about half way between 2 major subway stations. So, they are conveniently located. The free breakfast was great. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We will stay they every time that we go to London.

Myself & two friends decided to book this hotel due to its location near to the Apollo Victoria theatre as we had theatre tickets for later that day and planned to spend the weekend in London. Plimlico seems quite. 'Well to do' in parts and has a village like atmosphere and we felt quite safe walking around late at night.... More

We stayed just for 3 nights on a quick trip to London. The hotel is close to the tube It's clean and convenient It's in a historic building, only 16 rooms. Super small and original. It's lovely and has lots of character with fantastic helpful staff going the extra mile. The rooms are tiny But do you need a lot... More

A nice hotel in London. It is very near to the underground station Pimlico (Victoria line). And it is only 15 - 20 minutes footwalk away from the Victoria coachstation. The rooms are okay for a short stay in the city. It is clean and quiet.
