Warm and welcoming staff but the internet did not work properly for me. The staff told me I was the only to have problems yet when I spoke with two other guests they said they also had problems. The neighborhood is nice. It is an old fashioned hotel. It would be good value if the internet worked. I stayed four... More

I stayed here for one night as I was on business in the area the next day. The hotel is located conveniently just a few minutes walk from Pimlico Tube station and about 10 minutes walk from Victoria Station. Landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey are 20-30 minutes walk away so it's a nice location. Welcome was friendly... More

I stayed here for a single night lately on a business trip. Great night's sleep, comfy room and very quiet. A lot of stairs so you need to be up to climbing as the hotel is a narrow, tall building with about 3 rooms per floor. But I would happily stay here again. Very pleasant receptionist who was very warm... More

Stayed 1 night. We were on the top floor, quite the climb and with no lift. It was nice that we were able to check in early and front desk agent was very warm and welcoming. Location good. Breakfast better than I expected, with cereal, cheese, cold cuts, coffee... Bed decently comfortable. Problems: Internet not working on the upper floors.... More

We offer the wifi for free to our guests, and it's a very good fibre optic connection which usually works very well, but as in all London areas can be funny sometimes and the issue can't be solved in a short period of time, however we invited the guest to refresh her device as we had no complaints and also... Small and dated budget hotel but in a great location for exploring the sights. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Continental breakfast was good. Bed was very comfortable. All in all, we would stay again.

For our first trip to London we're glad we chose this Hotel as it's very close to Victoria Train and Coach stations. It's small and cosy with nice helpful staff and a lovely Continental breakfast. It doesn't have a lift so if you have a problem climbing stairs be sure to mention that when booking and request a room on... More

If you're from America you'll likely think the rooms are small, however they're probably standard for Europe. A basic, no frills room, great for young travelers or folks who like being out and about and exploring sites :) Great location, more of a neighborhood than city feel but within walking distance to heart of London & major sites. I was... More

A lot of hotels in London in this price range are much worse and run down than the Blades Hotel. Prepare yourself for a no-frills experience, fifth floor room with no lift, creaky stairs, small and old-fashioned bathrooms, mediocre beds etc. In spite of this I would probably book this hotel again: The management seemed to be working on improving... We are a well maintained small budget hotel in a great location. Our beds are relatively new and our interior style is keeping with the elegant Listed Victoria Buildings as seen on our website and we are constantly refurbishing the interior. Under no circumstances was a carpenter working at 7am, it is illegal to do noisy building work in London... More

No complaints here. Friendly staff. Located near a tube station. The breakfast was pretty good too. When we checked in for our double room, they put us up in a triple room at no charge. I'm not going to complain that this or that was small. YOU ARE IN LONDON, you are not there to stay in your hotel room.... More

This review could be long winded in its praise for this delightful family owned and efficiently run home from home for anyone wanting excellent value for a visit to london. However, brevity will suffice because those who stay at blades will find it very hard to fault anything. Warm, welcoming reception staff are spendidly helpful. Rooms are very clean, cheerful,... Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
