We spend one night at Orchard Hotel. The Hotel is very central (close to Hyde- and Regents Park, St. Mary Hospital and Oxfort Street). Our room was not to big, but comfy and clean. We booked at the same day through a booking site and it was quiet cheap for a Friday night in the City.

Decent location, clean modern room and bathroom. Hot water in the shower. Room facing street/entrance - bad sleep due to noise. Staff were eastern european and Spanish(?), rude amateurs that should have stayed in the laundry instead of being in contact with guests. Breakfast was really bad, staff sloppily hand washing glasses and plates, the toast and cereal were the... More

I was booked to stay at the Orchard for 2 weeks and left after 2 days. The policy there is to provide one towel per guest every other day. My first night there I showered after traveling and then put my towel on the floor next to the toilet for pick up by the house keeping staff. The next morning... More

This is not a good place to stay, 2 star at a push!!!. The female receptionist was very helpful but the man who worked in reception the next day seemed to care more about the 'rules of his boss' and NOT the comfort of the Orchards guests. Single sized sheets on the double bed. No tea and coffee facilities in... More

At first this seemed like a nice small hotel it was clean and tidy, but that's as good as it gets. The first thing we noticed was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, you could help yourself to coffee in the very small lounge but it cannot be taken to your room to drink. No shampoo or soap in... My friend and I booked into this hotel for a night in London and wow - what a great location! Walking distance to Hyde Park, Oxford Street and in a decent neighbourhood as well. However... We were in London during a hot week in July, and after seeing the 'air-conditioning' icon on the hotel website, we looked forward to a... More

Stayed here as I wanted somewhere that I could drive to (from Birmingham) without having to fight in Central London traffic. In that sense, this place was ideal- ten minutes from the end of the M1 and if you mention it in your reservation, they reserve you a parking space. The room was average, the bathroom was a bit rubbish,... More

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The location was perfect - 250 meters from where Heathrow Express lands you in London Paddington. Oxford street was within walking distance and there were plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. The hotel felt recently refurbished - my bathroom looked very fresh though on the smallish side. Room was spotlesly clean and the flatscreen... More

Booked a triple room for a gig in hyde park. The hotel let us check in early. Was expecting beds to be squashed together but pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. Would stay here again. Did not get up in time for the included breakfast so cant comment on that

Looking for inexpensive accommodation in Paddington, London in summer you will probably see The Orchard Hotel. If you are looking for something special - keep looking - elsewhere. Its a room at a price, in our case in the cellar with a view of a paved light well. Cramped is a generous description although ease of proximity to the dinning... More
