My partner and I stayed here for 1 night as we went to the O2 for a concert. The hotel room was clean and spacious and the staff were friendly. Free parking on the surrounding roads was a bonus. 5 minutes walk to a train station, although trains were not running on the day we went. The O2 is a... More

Great hotel very friendly clean room loads of space also has fantastic transport links and just across the road from a retail part so can easily get snacks and a few restraunts as well. Also the owners do keep in touch and updated on when you're arriving.

The room: A gorgeous, spacious, light and airy room. With three single beds, there was room for a sink and a kettle to make a cuppa. It was very clean and modern. Based on the quality of these rooms, I'd stay again. I probably will.

We went to a show at the 02 so staying at the hotel was convenient. There was nothing special about the hotel you go what you paid for. The room was responsibly clean however it was quite clear the floor had not been hoovered and there was a lot of stains on it. The only downside really was the fact... More

The staff were friendly. Room was clean, but shared toilet/bathroom was not great. The main problem is the non-stop traffic noise and insecure windows, I struggled to fall asleep every night, and had to wake up very early because of the noise as well.

We booked a double room at the Angerstein in August. The room itself was lovely and decorated in neutral white shades, with a small bathroom. Despite the hotel being next to a busy road, the room was quiet (facing the side street), and we had a lovely night. The location itself isn't very inspiring as it's near a main road... More

Many visitors to an event at the O2, one of the UK's most popular venues, find the Angerstein Hotel of Greenwich conveniently close and affordably priced. But I stayed there with my husband and granddaughter for 10 nights and it worked beautifully for us! The hotel is one block away from the tube (Overground at Westcombe), which took us any... More

Stayed here for one night to catch a show at the 02 and avoid the excessive prices of various chain hotels in the immediate vicinity of the arena. This is good, honest accommodation for a quick stay - you get what you pay for and I was not disappointed with the helpful and friendly service. Yes, the rooms are above a... More

We wanted somewhere to stay near the O2 Arena and this part of London, South of the river, doesn't seem well served with accommodation. But somewhere just to lay your head... How difficult can that be to find? The Angerstein Hotel ticked the location box and wasn't too dear; at this price point it could be a wannabe boutique hotel... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
