We are shortly going for a holiday to London. In the past we stayed at the St. Georges due to the location. After our last visit I could not recommend this hotel as it is simply grubby and depressing . It is really a pity that the owners "milk" this location without any regard for their guests comfort or dignity.... More

Great location close to Oxford Circus tube ststion. After that nothing much of merit. VERY expensive for what we got. A tiny double room with en-suite. Secondary double glazing which worked well but the frsmes were rusty and dirty. If you want to run s bath / have s shower then I suggest you run the hot water for 10... More

I do believe some of the fellows (and gells) writing for this esteemed interweb publication may have been unduly critical of said establishment. Having reflected upon this dilemma for the last year or so, I may have chanced upon the reason. It is, of course, a question of perspective. If I may say so, some of the more recent denizens... 1) Bedroom: dirty carpets, dreary and tired decor, several moths were spotted during my stay, psocids in sink area, poor lighting, good views of London. 2) Restaurant: unhappy staff, poor customer focus, food very bland and overcooked. A private function in the restaurant resulted in the staff seemingly not knowing whether the restaurant was open to hotel guests or not.... More

The hotel has great location to London city center but the facility is far from four star advertised. The room is run down and dirty. Toilet flush needs superman power to get it work. Bugs of flying insects are inside the room. Strings of hairs laid in the sofas and chairs. It is like an old motel. The only partially... More

Booked this as price was reasonable and the pics looked good (for London at least) on the booking site - though still around £120 per night Hotel is well located close to Oxford & Regent Street, with everything on the doorstep. Also nice to have free Wi-Fi, which some hotels in London still try & charge for. Unfortunately, the good... More

I checked in an out of the hotel within 20 minutes. The reception area looked okay but the corridors are a disgrace and what I imagine a youth hostel to be like. The duvet on the bed was paper thin. I was given another room after I refused the first one. The heating in the second room was at 32... More

The hotel is perfectly located, but it's a run down establishment! The pictures on their website is far from reality... It's closer to a 2 star hotel than a 4 star as stated on the different booking websites - even after normal London or Paris standards... The room was freezing cold, the a/c wasn't working and it took a little... More

I stayed here after needed a hotel as close to Regent Street as possible (I like to be close to my clients.) Bearing in mind that this was cheaper than a holiday Inn (which stunned me for London) I didn't have massive expectations. I had 5 nights for under £700 Whilst I could gripe about the silly things (slightly cramped... More
