We spent just one night in London so were looking for a place that was convenient for all the shopping we wanted to do on Oxford Street and Regent Street and this place was just the ticket. When we arrived the receptionist was very helpful and gave us all the information we needed regarding breakfast times, wifi etc. The place... More

Having stayed at this hotel several times before, all at Christmas time, we booked in again as it is just so convenient for shopping and theatre. We found the reception staff very friendly and although I agree the rooms could do with a bit of up-dating, you really can't beat the price for this near to Oxford Street. We have... More

We stayed there for two nights because of the location since it was near the hospital where my daughter would give birth. From the moment we walked into the lobby we were taken by surprise at the very dated furnishings. The rooms also had similar furniture, two chairs of mismatched color and smallish beds. To make things worse the heating... More

I was so stressfull before our visit because of the previous comments about the hotel. I arrived to Gatwick airport and take a tube with the connection from Greenpark to Oxford Circus. It takes around 45minutes with 5,8pound. (if you are not in a hurry,it is not necessary to take gatwick express because it costs 15pound for 14 minutes to... More

Directly across the road from the famous Langham's hotel this is a little gem. For a clean, quiet room this close to Oxord and Regents Street you would expect to pay a lot more. Simply excellent value! Oh, the freshly cooked poached eggs at breakfast are a must.

Have been staying at this hotel for many years and additionally using the top floor bar and restaurant as a rendevous for business meetings. Service always good and prompt. It's in a great location just a few minutes from Oxford Circus and opposite New Broadcasting House.

It's right next door to the BBC! From St George's Hotel: 20 minute walk - Hyde Park 15 minute walk - James Street (lots of restaurants) 10 minute walk - Leicester Square (the heart of West End) 5 minute walk - Oxford St (shopping) 5 minute walk - Carnaby St You really can't go wrong with the location and getting... Service with a smile, NOT. Upon arrival the reception staff were very poor in greeting you, being completely ignored by one of the receptionist! The room itself was fine with all the amenities you could wish for. However, while the bathroom itself was clean, the grouting around the tiles was going black from mildew!! Plus, there was a gaping big... More

This hotel is not even a 1 star hotel. It is an awful hotel. It' s very old and very dirty. The bathroom is dirty and I didn't have hot water in the shower. The service is not a service. At the reception they don't say hello and they don't say goodbye. You feel like in a jail corridor. It... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
