We enjoyed our stay at the St. Ermin's Hotel recently. From the check in to the check out, the staff and service was quite good. The only downside, we would have liked a better view but that is a minor issue. The breakfast is excellent and the bar staff made our late night stop worth it. We would return to... More

We took our teen granddaughters on a trip to Europe in June. We spent four nights at the St Ermin's Hotel--eating breakfast at their wonderful buffet each morning. This was our first vacation in London, and everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to many sights and dinner venues. The histories of... We just returned from a wonderful one week stay at St. Ermin's. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and breaths old English charm. It is situated in a perfect location that makes it easy to travel to all the tourist attractions. The service is "top notch" at this hotel. Our room was ready when we checked in even though we were... More

I cannot sing enough praise of this incredible hotel & it's staff. From the moment we arrived until the day we departed everything was perfect. We stayed in a family room which was beautifully appointed and quite spacious. Beds are extremely comfortable! There are outlets on the desk which accommodate US devices - no extra converter required! Very nice touch.... More

We stayed in St.Ermin's for five nights in the Executive Room, 1 King Bed. The good: - perfect location - clean - nice decor - decent size bathroom with a good shower The not-so-good: The room is so tiny, it really only has room for one person. It has one very small desk to hold all of your stuff; there... More

We had two rooms for a family of five, in different parts of the floor. We were there for four days The rooms were nice, if a bit small, which is the usual for older hotels. The staff was fairly friendly (except the breakfast staff, which was mostly unfriendly). Service was spotty: for example, in one room, we had two... More

We had two nights at St. Ermin's, pre and post cruise. Excellent location to the sites as several are within close walking distance and a hop-on/hop-off stop is very nearby as well. Felt very safe in the neighborhood, across from Scotland Yard. Beautiful old hotel. Pre-cruise we received a nice room with enough space and did not feel cramped. Post-cruise... More

I visit London often and decided to try this hotel for the first time this past week. My choice was driven by the Marriott ownership and since I've stayed at most of the other Marriotts in the city I decided to try something different. It was a very good decision. The location is wonderful almost midway between Victoria Station and... More

Came to London via train so this hotel was walk-able distance after arriving at London Victoria! Beautiful entrance with a long driveway - the lobby is full of character inside and out.. Quite quaint but traditional at the same time. Rooms were surprisingly tiny... not much space to walk around. BUT I really adored the refillable amenities in the shower.... More

What a beautiful hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Centrally located to many places we visited and an easy tube ride to just about anywhere. We could walk to Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. We are a family of 5 with my husband and 3 boys ages 17, 15 and 12. They had 2 queen beds and a twin with 2... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
