It's a little hard to find being tucked away on a quiet street, but it's just around the corner from Buckingham Palace! The entrance looks like a grand manor house. The lobby is breath taking with the white wood and decor. Our room was small, but updated modern. Was excited when they said it overlooked Scotland Yard not realizing it... More

My husband and I went to St. Ermin's hotel today for afternoon tea. The girls looking after us were very sweet and helpful even though we didn't have a reservation. Regina who was our waitress and went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome. We both had a great time and I highly recommend it.

What a great place. Excellent location, Central but not too busy. Lots of bars, pubs and eateries nearby. We stayed in a double king room overlooking the courtyard. Clean, comfortable and good amenities provided. Tastefully decorated, modern and contempory room furnishings but in a lovely traditional building... worked really well. A special mention for the staff. Everyone we encountered was... More

Excellent location in the heart of London-quick walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, etc. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly and amazing breakfast comes with room rate. Bathroom and shower are a little small but workable.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in early February. Beautiful large room with a sofa and TV area at one end and king bed at opposite end. Room was divided by a large bathroom area. Recently remodeled. Staff was helpful with recommendations on casual dining nearby. Within easy walking distance of Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. Also... More

This is a beautiful hotel with some fantastic public rooms, especially the Grill room and the reception area. It is also in a very good location, just a short stroll from all the sites of Westminster and the West End. However, I knew all of this from the Internet before I visited. What I did not know was how superb... More

Really lovely hotel. Stayed there last year. Reception area was really stunning. Clean, with a lovely big staircase, very grand. Rooms were spotless. Only down side was the breakfast the next morning, they had run out of alot of hot food and we had to stand around and wait. Would definately return.

Only a twenty minute walk to Victoria & four tube stops, with one change, to Piccadilly. It's in a great location for sightseeing. The nearest tube station is close by. I have to say I thought it was expensive for what it offered. Our king twin was on the small size as was the bathroom. The entrance is quite grand... More

If you thought of this as a corporate hotel, you might say it's quite friendly. If you thought of it as a friendly hotel, you might think it rather corporate. Our room was very pleasant. The staff were, in the main, friendly, including those on reception. But the receptionist who checked us in was a very long way short of... More

My partner and I returned to the St. Ermin's Hotel for several days recently after having had a wonderful stay there last year. We were wonderfully surprised--the St. Ermin's, if this is possible for a hotel that was already doing almost everything right, was even better. The wonderful breakfast is still there, the friendly, welcoming and absolutely helpful staff are... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
