As ever Travelodge provided comfortable no frills accommodation, however the entire premises while clean was tired looking & in desperate need for refurbishment, & Window unsticking of paint, some people like fresh air not just air con.

We had a great rate at this travel lodge but I was glad we hadn't paid full price. The reception staff were helpful and polite and the majority of the hotel looked clean and tidy. The stairwell smelt awful so we avoided this area of the hotel. Our room had been redecorated but the was a large amount of damp... More

It is as it advertises - no frills, but what you get is a clean comfortable room with fully equipped bathroom. You have an idea of what you are getting for the price and we couldn't complain. Location is good, although we did go to try and check in at the other Travelodge nearer to Kings Cross so don't make... More

One night family stay without breakfast.sadly checking in was chaos due to number of customers and then we had to change room due to stink of vomit from previous occupants no doubt.change of room was adequate clean but small and the tv didnt work.the big positive after a long day in the west end was the comfortable bed which assisted... The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from kings cross station which is handy. It's very clean and has a bar and serves food. Good princes. Rooms very clean, a little small.. And the bathroom could do with an extractor fan but other than that great!

We had a school trip in London and we stayed there. We were very good surprised- the hotel was fine, good big enough rooms, clean bathroom, good TV, comfortable pillows, but we didn't have any bathroom facilities and the door was too heavy. Good breakfast, but no free Wi-Fi and awful lift!

Although the room was a bit outdated I've had a very nice stay. The room was very clean, new, comfortable beds. We could choose between two separate beds or one twin which was nice because I travelled with a friend so we chose separate beds. Breakfast was not luxurious though for us it was enough. The staff was very friendly... More

From the moment we arrived, after getting the initial shock that they wanted £10. to check in ten minutes early, so we decided to have a drink and give the bar the £10. and wait 10 minutes than pay the fee. The staff where great, made us feel relax and welcome. Had a good night sleep, breakfast was enjoyable the... More

We flew into Gatwick and train to St.Pancras Station. The hotel was about a 15min walk from the station. The room was clean with tea/coffee making facilities. London transport links 10mins walk away. We walked into the centre of London, about 40mins, via the British Museum. The staff at the hotel, could not do enough for me with providing directions... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
