I took my 2 daughters for their first site seeing visit to London. We stayed at this hotel due to its location & had a fantastic time. The staff at the hotel were fantastic, really looked after my 2 girls & the breakfast was ample also. The room was a fantastic size ( we were in the basement) the bed... More

When we arrived in London (being my first time), I was so excited to be in the big city! I've stayed in a few Travelodges around England which were all a bit tatty and poorly presented but when we walked into the hotel there was a lovely welcome from the staff. The reception was air conditioned and the bar/restaurant was... More

We walked from Euston on one of the hottest days of the year, a bit way out but staff VERY helpful and kind. Room VERY clean and not too noisy. Thankfully a fan too Cannot fault it except for distance from Places we wanted to be PS Breakfast was excellent which to be honest was a surprise!!

I have stayed in a great deal of Travelodge destinations and unfortunately this is in need of a facelift- everything feels old and in need of some TLC. It was extremely when I visited and there was no AC however a fan was in the room. I think for a great destination with a popular brand the hotel should be... More

Rooms have no air conditioning so in the summer months they are too hot. I got fan from reception that made a difference. Room was tiny and the bathroom was ridiculously small. Rooms were clean, however on our return to the room after our first day out in London, the towels had been changed, but the bed wasnt properly made... More

Great location as were we getting the Eurostar from St Pancras early the following morning, and friendly helpful staff. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end as this hotel is in major need of a refurbishment. Our room was very small, scruffy and sparsely decorated, strangely having no bedside units at all which made drinking a cup of tea in bed... More

I would recommend this place to stay, staff are so friendly and couldn't be more helpful, it is close to Kings Cross station and underground. 9/10 for cleanliness and only because i believe there is always room for improvement. Eating area is immaculate and food is very enjoyable.

The room was adequate but the bed was very confortable and everything worked in the room, the shower was lovely and hot. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and eager to help.

Through circumstances beyond our control we stayed here for 2 nights on the hottest days of the year.checkin was slow and not customer focused, allocated room 428 or should I say cell, that's what it resembled, possible the smallest hotel room I've stayed in.No air conditioning and only the on opening window, fire doors right outside the room that seemed t... Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
