My wife and I booked this Hotel, so we could 'meet up' with some olds friends from France, who not knowing London, chose it because it was not far from the Eurostar terminal. On arriving, and being shown to our room, we were very disappointed, on the sad, and 'run down' state of the Hotel, (and our room in particular).... More

We had a lovely stay and where greeted by very friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable though the floors did creak. Wifi wasn't great had to use 4g instead. Food was great would stay again

Another enjoyable stay in London and at the Kings cross royal Scott. Can't fault anything, convenient to tube 10 minutes walk. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for money in London, breakfast excellent.

although it served our purposes, as i said, directions are somewhat flawed, which led us to going to the wrong one! Once inside, the welcome was warm from reception staff despite it being a very busy time, you felt they were focused on you. downside, our room was a bit tired and in need of some redecoration and update.

I had to stay near to my offices in Pentonville Road recently and needed to find a clean, local, reasonably priced hotel to fit the bill. Travelodge Royal Scot did just that. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Everything (except for bedside cabinets!) was there in the clean, fresh room that I required. It would have been better if... More

Little bit dated. Bathroom in need of up dating and very small could not swing a cat in it so if you were a big girl might have issues! Room reasonable no hair dryier would of been good to know! Near to kings cross station walk able which was a bonus. Breakfast was decent.

We booked here as we were arriving in to kings cross late. The hotel was a 5 minute walk and easy to find. The room had received the travelodge refresh and was great value for money. There is a 24 hour bar on site which we never used but I guess is a bonus for some :) Fantastic hotel in... More

Took them about 30-40 minutes to get me checked in. There were builders and equipment in the lobby making a lot of noise. Painters were painting the corridors and spilt paint right outside my room. On top of all this the room was missing such basics as a desk chair.

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighborhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
