Stayed with my wife recently for a few days, did the usual checking up and it looked fine on the photos and had good reviews. However on arriving we immediately noticed how it looked nothing like the photos, reception area was dirty and in disrepair(as was the rest of the hotel) the lift was really old and dirty and when... We booked in for 3 nights mainly due to location and comparissons. How wrong can you be, the photos bore no resemblance to the room. Instead of bedside cabinets we had garden tables, one of which was so unstable you could not place anything on it. You had to keep your hand on the kettle to get it to boil... More

Well, I wasn't expecting the Ritz, however the room was clean and comfortable. Nice touch - a couple of packets of biscuits and a bottle of water in the room! There was a kettle and a hairdryer which was really unexpected! Shower beautifully clean. Even though I was on the front of the hotel and it is on a busy... More

We needed a hotel just for a night and near St Pancras which is all this hotel really offers (location). Half of the lights didn't work, tv didn't work (front desk wasn't any help), and the shower didn't drain correctly causing the water to fill up at the bottom of the shower, which made chunks of dirt/whatever from the shower... If you are looking for a fancy, high class hotel where you can spend plenty of time and relax... GO ELSEWHERE. If you are here for a few nights and are looking for a place to crash... it's ideal. We stayed in a twin room while working down here, it's walking distance to King's Cross St. Pancras and plenty of... More

Rude reception staff - this particular front desk person looked as though he had been in a fight. Room in basement - stuffy and hot - no air con - fan available but ancient with questionable health and safety...TV was not wired up and had loose live wires surrounding it. Arrived to find someone having a bonfire in the garden... More

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights on a recent long weekend visit to London. Yes, it is a budget hotel and not luxurious by any standards. But staff friendly and helpful, sheets and towels clean and changed daily, tea and coffee in room replenished daily, close to Kings Cross and St. Pancras, breakfast consists of tea, coffee,... More

I stayed one night on July 1st in this hotel. It is close to the St. Pancras station especially practical for Eurostar travellers ! You can walk there from the Station. The staff is very friendly, our room (n°6) small but very clean and had everything we needed. The best was we had a door in our room leading to... More

First night, gun shots out the back and being situated in the basement it was like being in a frying pan with a bathroom that's like a Rubix cube where the shower was situated half a metre from the toilet with no curtain with mold on the shower head. The staff where also banging about At 3-30 in morning on... More

We stayed in room 21. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a bit cosy. The bathroom was tight and looked as though it was newly renovated. It was very nice and quiet. Swinton Staff were very nice and reminded us that breakfast was included with the room. The continental breakfast was nice with table service. King's Cross Underground... More
