Very friendly and helpful. Only problem was extract in bathroom didn't work so ceiling had a lot of mould on it. Breakfast was continental with no option of full English but there was plenty of everything available.

I stayed here as a solo female traveller, for business midweek. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right next to the Natural History Museum and very close to Gloucester Road tube. I had a single room on the lower ground floor which was not a bad size considering, and was very quite due to its location. Staff were very... More

This small, friendly hotel made a perfect place to stay. The staff were very friendly, the hotel is spotlessly clean and although breakfast is only a continental buffet the choice was very good. Being located next to the Natural history museum and close to both South Kensington and Gloucester road tube stations it has an ideal location for visiting the... More

Very convenient location for Royal Albert Hall and museums. Lift only goes to second floor so glad we didn't have a very heavy bag to carry up to 3rd floor. Our room had a lovely large balcony. Good choice of tea and coffee in room. And hooray! a heated towel rail which was actually hot. So many aren't. Staff on... More

Excellent location, cause it's possible to have a room around 83 pounds on internet. Close to the mesuem, very kindly welcome. Quite recent rooms, and quiet at 4th stage. Only missing bacon for breakfast

We had a very pleasant top floor room which had that most important feature - a comfortable bed. The bathroom was well presented although the shower was only adequate - probably a symptom of being on the top floor. Our booking included the continental breakfast which offered pastries, croissants, cereal, rolls, cheese and fruit. The bar was reasonably priced which... More

Our experience of one week in the 54 four hotel was pretty good! The service is perfect and people are erally welcoming. The hotel is located in a good area, zone 1 with the underground at 5 minutes walking. We would not hesitate to reserve again...

First of all, despite 3 stars I would stay again. The staff are warm and friendly, and on the whole the hotel was lovely. Staying on a weekend, there is limited free parking outside after 13:30, so great base for the Natural History, Science & V&A museums, Royal Albert Hall or Hyde Park. The truth is the bathroom fan in... More

The hotel is easy to get to from the Gloucester Rd station, an easy walk to Hyde Park and across the street from great museums. The rooms are the biggest but I've stayed in much smaller when it comes to London. The hotel offers a nice breakfast and the front desk is super helpful. I recommend this as a great... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
