We stayed here for one night for a concert at the Royal Albert Hall which is approximately 10 minutes walk. Parking opposite the hotel is on the road and is free from 6.30pm to 8.30am the next morning. You're located opposite the Natural History Museum and within walking distance of Knightsbridge (Harrods and the other high end retailers) and South... More

If your a tourist - its in a perfect London - right in the heart of Museum city area. The staff were very friendly - even extra so compared to the normal london service standards The lift only runs to the 2nd floor The room was clean, tidy, smart and small (but not as small as some in London) its... My wife and I booked to see a concert at The Royal Albert Hall and decided to stay a couple of nights. We found this hotel after a search of trip advisor and it seemed to have good reports. I would describe it as "A Little Gem". Location superb (5 minutes from the Albert Hall and Gloucester Road Underground station)... More

Booked one night at 54 for a London stopover. A very pleasant, and well presented hotel in a great location. The staff were delightful when we arrived and our double room had been upgraded to a suite. The room was very large with a galleried bedroom with a huge bed. All the furnishings were good quality and the extras (coffee... More

Myself and my wife stayed in this hotel for a weekend at the start of November. It is a lovely hotel in a great location and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had booked a standard double which was tiny and had barely enough room for the two of us and was a long way from being worth... More

Made a last minute booking and was very impressed with this hotel - a spacious double room , well furnished, pleasant decor, big fluffy towels and nice complimentary items. Very friendly and courteous staff who seemed to really understand customer service. Location good for Kensington area. I would definitely book again .

A fabulous boutique hotel located at the southern end of Queens Gate. Ideally located for easy access to The Royal Albert Hall, museums and South Kensington. The hotel was easy to locate and had an inviting entrance. Registration was quick and relaxed by Greg who had excellent customer service skills. We were quickly directed to our room which was more... I really appreciated the location. The hotel is close to public transportation, it's easy to get to hubs. If you're arriving from Heathrow, taking the Heathrow express to Paddington and walking through Hyde Park is very nice (if you're not pressed for time and you don't have too much luggage). It's relatively quiet here, couldn't hear the morning rush from... More

This hotel is in a great location for museums, 2minutes from underground station, 5minutes walk from Knightsbridge. On our first stay many years ago we stayed in a standard room which was rather small but this time we were upgraded to a deluxe room which was slightly larger than the first & a nice surprise. Staff were very friendly &... More

Pros: Mini-bar was well stocked. There was plenty of tea / coffee to make a drink. Plenty of little extras like shampoo / body lotion. There was free wifi in the room (voucher from reception). Cons: Our room, which was the only room on the ground floor I believe, was rather small, and smelled of disinfectant until we got used... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
