Ideally located opposite the Natural History Museum and around the corner from the Victoria and Albert, this hotel was also close to both Gloucester Road and South Kensington Undergrounds. The restaurants around the latter are a particular attraction. My clean and comfortable room overlooked the street but there was very little noise. One thing to be aware of is that... More

I travel to London several times a year and recently stayed at 54 Boutique Hotel for work. My company's travel budget got a bit tighter recently so I had to look for good value. My experience with this hotel was very positive. The location is ideal, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean and quiet. Mostly, I'd like... More

Short overnight stay ahead of a business conference in the west end. Single room on 1st floor was compact but comfortable. Nice to have windows which opened to let fresh air in also. Staff friendly and helpful. Also a short walk to Gloucester rd area for bars and restaurants. Will def use again.

Stayed here when we went to a concert at the nearby Royal Albert Hall. Lovely friendly, clean hotel with great service. Location is excellent for a relaxing stay in London - we hired Boris bikes and cycled through Hyde Park and on towards the river. 15 minutes on the bikes and you're right in the centre of London. Recommended!

We booked this because it was close to the Albert Hall, and for central London, reasonably priced. Our room was on the ground floor behind reception, and had lovely French doors opening onto a wooden deck - pity there was no furniture on the deck, it would have been nice to sit out there with a drink or early morning... Just a one night stay after attending an event elsewhere in London. Decent accommodation at a reasonable price in central London is not always easy to find, and was pleased this fitted the bill. As expected, the single room was smallish but they had made good use of the available space and it was clean and well maintained. It was... More

overall we add a nice stay , the room and the service was nice. some details could have been better. Bed sheets were not dirty but not perfect, and same things for the cleaning. they say it is with a Nespresso, machine in the room, and yes we had one. but you just have to buy the pods if you... Highly recommend!! the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. I requested a ground or lower room for my elderly parents with my booking, this was accommodated via a lovely ground floor de lux with terrace. The hotel is in a nice part of London and handy for attractions and the purpose of our visit the Royal Albert Hall

We went to Albert hall for a concert and we're looking for somewhere local to stay. Booked this last minute and was really impressed. Great location, good room with a balcony that had a table and chairs. Proper coffee in the room and a midday checkout which was good. Definitely stay here again if going to the Albert Hall

My wife and I stayed for an extended holiday weekend. We stayed in a deluxe room with our own little patio outside, unfortunately we could couldn't take full advantage of it due to rather cold weather. Great location, close to subway and smack bang beside several museums (Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert, Science museum). Staff was very friendly, room... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
