Due to time constraints we were unable to look for alternative accommodation. I don't actually know where to start. We were allocated Room 3. Large cracks in the walls, curtains hanging from the tracks, unsure of safety of light fittings, ensuite looked like 2 portaloos stuck together. Hot tap for the sink not working, daren't use the shower, large wet... More

I booked this hotel from photographs on the website for an overnight stay whilst celebrating my wifes 65th birthday with a West End Show. After paying we were shown to room 3, it was like entering a Dungeon, the Curtains were hanging off the curtain track, en suite facilities were a joke with only a COLD water tap to the... More

A very cheap run down hotel, shower on top floor was a drip and impossible to wash hair in. Breakfast is cheap food, with just thin cheap white bread!! On the plus side, lovely girls who worked there... And it was clean!

Traveled to London with my sister in law as we were going to the theatre to see a show, the hotel my sister in law had chosen after looking at their web page was the Fitzroy Hotel.. We opened the door to the room that we were allocated and I have only one word, Appalling !!! We did not unpack... More

After reading some of the terrible reviews on this hotel before arriving, must admit i was a little worried. However I neednt have been! Stayed in this hotel for one night and was really impressed. 3 of us shared room 10 costing us £30 each which, for a central hotel in London, including breakfast, was an absolute bargain. The room... I feel the Fitzroy has had some bad rep on here, undeservedly so in my humble opinion. I stayed there last night and was happy with the value for money we received. Yes the rooms are basic..yes it could do with a revamp cosmetically..yes two of our plug sockets didnt work and yes you had to put the kettle on... More

I don't think the bad reviews of the Fitzroy are deserved at all. It is a clean, simple hotel with friendly staff and is excellent value for money. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean (though shower wasn't clean enough), tea/coffee and small TV. We stayed in a quad for £31.50 each which is an excellent price for London...I have paid... More

I chose the Fitzroy as I needed a place to stay after watching a show so didn't want to pay lots for a room I only wanted to sleep in. I booked a single room with shared bathroom and arrived around 11pm. After checking in (in the basement office) I was informed that my room was on the top floor... More

The room was very basic and in desparate need of refurbishing...The shower was adequate.....The bed linen and towels were clean....The breakfast was enough..The staff were very friendly and helpful. ..

We stayed new years eve, our first thought was how lovely and warm it was. As we came for the fireworks at the London Eye, we didn't get back to the hotel till 1.45am, I slept well, my friends said they were too warm, the only thing is we were in the room at the front by the road next... More
