In desperate need of a refurb! But for one/ two nights it's do-able.. Our rom was on the top floor but fire escape was on the bottom so they moved us straight away .. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked and the staff were friendly and helpful .... Hotel near to central London and Warren Street tube station about 5... More

Hugely over priced for what you get! The place is so run down and massively in need of an overhaul. Obviously it was not built as a hotel initially so the rooms are small. The bathrooms have been added into the corners of the rooms, which are smaller than my bedroom, so the door to the bathroom was only about... More

We arrived at this hotel, rang the bell to be greeted by a lovely female member of staff who was happy to assist us with check-in. The reception is down a level of stairs under a low-ceiling which is not easy accessible at all. We were allocated room 11 on the 2nd floor which we were happy with due to... More

A truly awful experience, not even a lamp shade on the ceiling light, no bed side table or lamp. Curtains that look like they had shrunk before they were hung in 1973. Tatty, dirty all round. A stained mattress propped against the wall half way up the stairs. A hole punched in the wall next to the light switch. I... More

Quite simply my worst hotel experience. On arrival had to ring the doorbell to be allowed in. The room was at the top of the hotel - 78 steps from the breakfast room in the basement to the top, on stairs that were covered in frayed carpet - watch your step! The room was dingy, only one light worked and... More

Arrived at the Fitzroy and rang the bell numerous times, someone finally opened the door after 10 minutes! Got to our room, absolutely nothing like the pictures! The bed was barely a double, the carpet was filthy, one curtain on each window which didn't cover the window properly. The window next to the bed didn't close properly so was banging... More
