Booked single room at Fairways at short notice for business trip to London. Very little choice in area & reviews for cheaper range hotels near Kings Cross were all pretty poor. Have stayed in other hotel nearby & although a noisy area (ear plugs needed for a good nights sleep!) that hotel was quite nice. Paid £110 at Fairways for... More

The room was very small and no lift so had to carry bags up the tiny stairway. Breakfast were lovely and the staff very friendly in the kitchen.Good location which was close to bus stops, Metro etc and plenty of eating places close by.

The hosts were friendly and helpful. While the room was very simple and small, it was comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced for the area. For convenience, it was almost directly across from King's Cross/St Pancras Station. The full English breakfast was very good, and the servers were very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyable stay and met our needs.

We were booked onto the Eurostar to Marseille at 07:19 the following morning, so this seemed like the ideal place to stay. At £125 for two people it seemed a little expensive, but I suppose I am not used to having to pay London rates. There was a warm welcome on arrival as we walked through the door. We booked... More

Fairway hotel was a good place to rest after one day of traveling. It is very close to Kings Cross station. The room was too small but clean. Complete English breakfast is included. Staff is helpful and friendly. One of them speaks spanish. There is no air conditioning. This can be a problem during heat waves!

This bed& breakfast is very small, a bit stuffed, with a friendly staff and basic comfort. I was on the last floor in a tiny room with shared bathroom and shower. Because it was - for England - particularly hot, the room was also very hot, also at night. Unfortunately there was no fan. Tiny shower and (separate) tiny toilet... More

This small hotel is literally just 5 minutes walk from the Eurostar terminal. It is clean comfortable and very well priced considering the ridiculous prices some hotels in London charge. The staff are particularly pleasant and helpful and the English breakfast is cooked to order rather than buffet style. The double room that I occupied was adequate for a one... More

Good location for Kings Cross, St Pancras, Euston Stations. Small hotel, fairly clean with comfortable beds. Tiny tiny bathroom, no fancy toiletries and very small towels. Plentiful breakfast in smallish breakfast room. Going through Booking.com they took a pre auth amount off the credit card and then we had to pay on arrival as well. The first amount only gets... When my employer said "cart yourself off to London for a small business trip", I had high hopes for a productive and pleasant trip. On the whole, the trip certainly fulfilled expectations. Sadly, the hotel though was not a highlight. I've seen the glowing reviews on here, and I don't doubt that many of them are fair. But, as a... More

Stay between the 8-11th of June 2015. This is a Cheap and cheerful hotel with basic english breaky included. Clean room and very comfortable bed. Rooms are small as is ensuite but what english hotel room isn't? Virtually across the rd from Kings cross station. Don't be shy to ask for more breaky. Was a pleasant stay and happy to... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
