We stayed here for 12 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids. Good location (close to buses, Tube, and lovely park), well kept rooms, and helpful staff. Overall very happy and was good value. Family room had 2 singles rather than a double bed, plus bunks for the kids. Bit on the small side for a family also, with bathroom... More

The Highbury centre provides convenient accommodation a short walk from the Highbury-Islington railway station. Our room was large by London standards with a snug ensuite. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the quiet and peace of the gardens at the back of the property and tree-lined street at the front. The centre provides several levels of accommodation and simple... More

Four of us booked two twin en-suite rooms. They were very clean and had everything you need including tea and coffee making facilities and plugs at the right height for hairdryer etc. Good reading light above the bed. One room was at the front of the lovely old building and the other room was at the back overlooking the lovely... More

Helpful staff, clean and simple, convenient location, good value. We stayed in a double room with a shared bathroom. The rooms aren't fancy, but having a small table and chairs meant we could use the microwave downstairs and enjoy dinner in our room. Other places to relax include a library, two large lounge rooms (one with a tv), the large... More

Simple and spartan. Good value, clean, sober. Reasonably good location to the city center. It is a fair but nice walk to the tube (metro) - not way too far and it is enjoyable, mostly through the park. No air conditioning, but you do not really need that in London most of the time - open your window a bit... More

Great staff, clean room, convenient, free parking and @ a great price. Oh and yes, IN LONDON!!!! Amazing. Single room did remind me of my room in halls at university. So don't expect luxury but it's all there, bed is comfy and clean. Advice: take shower gel & toothpaste

Since a memorable week at the Highbury Centre in 2003 fresh from our home in Melbourne, Australia with 3 young children, the Highbury Centre has become our sanctuary and home away from home in London. We have recommended it to many people who love it to. We love it's history as a missionary guest house. We love it's peaceful, tranquil... More

I have been visiting the Highbury Centre (Foreign Missions Club) for twenty years and am always happy to recommend it to friends, including solo travelers. The Highbury Centre provides simple, affordable rooms in a great location - a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the underground. A bus passing the end of the street will also take you... More

I booked this on the Internet so knew it would be quite basic. It exceeded all my expectations. It is quite a charming building if somewhat dated inside. I loved having space outside the bedroom - to relax - two lounges and an internet room, a fridge and microwave to use . This more than compensated for the small bedroom... More

I've stayed at the Highbury Centre three times and have enjoyed each stay very much. The place seems like it was three row houses that were connected, so it has many different staircases and nooks and crannies; it just has a fun, Victorian feel about it. The rooms are all different; you could get a big one or a really... More
