We had 7 nights here and had read all the reviews and knew what to expect. It was high season and we prefer keeping hotel costs down and rather spend on seeing and doing things. It filled the bill OK and as we were mainly there to sleep we got by. Location is very good with Earle's Court metro 5... More

Uninviting foyer, front desk area, which has potential of be refurbished. The room I got was too small for even one person, It looks like the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make rooms smaller to make way for more rooms to accommodate more guest. What a disappointment especially given some reviews were positive but I don't... More

I think a large part of my disappointment with this hotel is that it is a 3-star hotel. If I had known it were a 1-2 star hotel, I'd probably have lower expectations and would not be as disappointed. (I also probably would have spent more to get a better room.) The good: - Cheap: the room could house three... More

I was dubious after reading some of the negative comments, but was pleasantly surprised. Yes,the rooms are small, but its London?! Having said that.we had ample space. I stayed with my teenage daughter for one night after seeing a show. We both slept well, had plenty of tea and coffee in the room, toiletries in the bathroom, plenty of hot water. Receptionist at check in... More

Stayed here on 12th Aug '15 with just me and my Mum and it really was a lot better than some reviews are making out! Yes there was only 2 coat hangers, small rooms and the breakfast wasn't the best but really this was over shadowed by a lot of good things! So heres an honest review about my single... More

Yes the room was very tiny as it is stated by other reviews. However, it is what you pay for. Hotels are expensive in London so if you do not want to spend a lot of money and you want to stay in a comfortable room with shower and breakfast, stay here! It was perfect for me. Customer service is... More

Incredibly tiny room, no room for even a chair or anyplace to set your suitcase. Bed looked like it had been made up by a two-year-old, we wondered if the sheets had even been changed. No air conditioning. A tiny bathroom sink that did not drain empty when filled with water. Completely indifferent front desk staff; they had our money.... More

Very good hotel located at about 5 min from the underground station Earl's Court. The staff was nice. The rooms are clean and have a good size. The breakfast was fairly diverse. I didn't like the fact that the shower was running to the floor and that made the toilet floor wet all the time. Very good quality for the... More

The hotel was clean but you get what you pay for. The room was small and the shower was even smaller. Had no air conditioning, which they say usually doesn't matter unless you are checking in on the hottest day of the year. You can open the full length windows to get some fresh air but there is a sort... More

Do not use lastminute.com for bookings! They put us in a room 6x6 feet @ £873stg for 6 nights!!Lastminute.com don't care, their customer service is appalling! Use airbnb or booking.com. If you and your partner wish to sleep in a tiny space, with no room for 2 people to pass each other on the way to toilet, this the place... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
