After reading a string of terrible reviews we I was really surprised how nice the hotel is. The customer service is most definitely 5* as were the restaurant and Polo Bar - The room was spotlessly clean and we were both very happy. The room is small but not by London standards, we had a standard room and the size... More

There were only 2 good things about this hotel: 1. Friendly staff 2. Good location Everything else was very, very average. I will start with our biggest compliant - and the reason I don't suggest staying more than 1-2 nights - the bathroom. I am beginning to wonder if it was made for extremely tiny people. Put it this way:... More

Very good location, just a few minutes walk from Earl's Court and Gloucester Road tube stations. Close to Hyde Park and the Natural Science Museum. The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was quite poor, as there were not a lot of options, basically just toast.

I recently stayed in this hotel on 23rd-25th may with my family on a recent trip to London. Our room was G4. We were four adults. The room was excellent, very spacious, very clean including toilets, coffee maker in the room. We were very tired and as soon as we entered the room, we were overwhelmed by the beauty and... More

It was a really nice experience. I was very angry with other hotel I had booked and finally I found this hotel which by my experience was amazing. The receptionist was specially polite and worried about my problem. The hotel has a good price, is close to the tube and the room was big, and very clean. Wifi is free... More

Granted the hotel room is small and relatively clean but with it's great location with less than 5 min walk to the station - it's worth the 4 stars. Especially if all you need is a clean place to rest at the end of your tour/shopping. Breakfast is simple - cereal, toast, eggs, beans and coffee/tea and juice. This was... More

I stayed at the Westbury for two nights. My single room was good - comfortable, clean and arranged nicely with a great shower, and good bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again and recommend it to travelers. The location is great - close to the tube station and many good restaurants and pubs.

We stayed at the hotel during our vacation in London in March of 2008. It was clean n comfortable. The stuff was very friendly specially the front desk. It was very helpful to have be within walking distance from major attractions n also supermarket .

The Westbury is very central for getting around. Neat & clean, but room extremely small and safe didn't work. Cathryn at reception is wonderful and full of information. The continental breakfast was OK, but staff really need to put the rubber stoppers on the bottom of chairs as every time someone gets up it's so noisy

I've reviewed this hotel a couple years ago. I just wanted to add, the service here is very consistent. One of the reasons I really like it here is they will hold your luggage. This is especially convenient if you have come off a long flight and it's too early to check in, we arrived at 8:30am. The baggage room... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
