We booked with booking.com which states that credit cards etc are accepted in accommodation. On arrival, we paid for our stay but 2% charge was put on as the lady stated "we do not accept cards only cash". The accommodation is scruffy looking -rips in carpet, broken and very squeaky floor boards, walls paper thin...you can hear every conversation and... More

I did not find the hotel confortable. The staff was fine, tehy were friendly and open to help. Location was fine. Too noisy. There were people outside the hotel smoking and talking loudly during sleeping hours, then no good at all.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in: - the manager of the hotel was very rude; -it has been very cold in the hotel - the heating was off even though outside were 5 degrees. - the room was dirty (the sheets also). - and so on... The only positive thing was that a part of the staff was nice... More

This hotel is in a very good place. About 10 min walk from Victoria station. Rooms are small (some smaller than others) but if you are in town only for a few days and are just going to sleep in the room, the place is great! Free wi-fi in the lobby and dining room. I have stayd here now two... More

Hotel is shabby in the extreme. Rooms tired, very tiny and just plain dirty. Shared bathing and toilet facilities are horrible. Breakfast is very poor. Fortunately there are excellent cafes nearby. Road outside is very busy and noisy. There is no outside space so if you want to smoke you have to go to the outside front door. We were... More

I had read the reviews before booking, but I was still shocked that places like this exist. We got a quad room, which was about 200 sqft, including the bathroom. I understand Victoria is prime real estate, but it must be illegal to fit that many people into such a small space. The room was obvious meant for a double... More

Let me start with "You cannot ask for more" phrase. The hotel is absolutely what I would expect from a 2-star hotel in Europe: the minimalism. The WiFi being available in the dining room only is a drawback indeed. Small room yet enough for you to crush the sack and have a good 8 hours sleep. The reception staff was... More

The rooms are dirty, mouldy, smelly and tiny. The staff were somewhat cold at the welcome, the breakfast was stale and I tasted the worst coffee in Europe in five weeks of travelling. For what you get, I believe it is over priced. This should neither have hotel nor a 2 star rating associated with this place. Wifi was only... More

I booked this hotel about 5 month ago but they gave us the top room of the hotel even if I have a 9 year-old boy. There are not an elevator in this hotel. It's too difficult to go upstairs and downstairs without an elevator. And I heard they served very nice breakfast but It has been the same for... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
