Another trip via London, another cheap hotel near King's Cross/St Pancras... The Central is only five minutes from the station. For the money we got a room which was large by London-budget-hotel standards, nicely decorated and with an en-suite shower room (which needed a little bit of TLC but was perfectly functional). Breakfast was basic but freshly-cooked and filling; no... More

Where to start, this was a surptripadvisor reak for my grandchildren as surprise break, it all went down hill as soon as we got to the room after asking for a room with a view, I was shocked that the window looked out onto a yard we were in fact in the basement, with a view of the trash. The... More

Room is small and very basic but clean. Breakfast is included, was ok. Our room was not cleaned the second day, we slept in the first time the maid came. She said she would come back later on but didn't. The second night we came back to find the hotel was locked but after a short wait a member of... More

Chose to stay at this hotel due to its location and price Wasn't expecting anything fantastic as it was fairly cheap for a very central London location and I have stayed in some horrible places in central London for a similar price! Hotel staff were friendly on arrival and our room was a simple clean, basic hotel room. Comfy bed,... More

Stayed here in a superior single room on a Saturday night in November. The hotel is very near St Pancras International, literally just across the road from the station. The room itself, like most others of similar rates in the vicinity, was rather small, but clean, and was good enough for a one night stay. It was unfortunately a bit... More

Nice hotel just a few minutes walk from St Pancras/King's Cross and also within walking distance from places like The British Museum, Oxford Street and Covent Garden. Small but functional and clean rooms offering a good night's sleep. In the morning you're served a full English breakfast in the small but tidy breakfast room. Staff was very friendly and helpful... I have stayed at this hotel each time I visit London for a number of years now and have found it to be friendly and accomodating. It is spotlessly clean and they have recently refubisheded it. It is also a great central location, especially if you are travelling to and from Kings Cross.

Top points for its vicinity to the public transport (bus, metro, train). Cannot be any better. Clean room, spacious lobby. Will definitely return again. Breakfast area is cramp with only 4 tables, served by a grim dinner lady. However, she did her job well.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
