Stayed here twice now, the Executive room was OK, but the fridge didn't work and had problems with lights... Second time around in a Standard room that's too hot, advice was turn off the Air-con because it'll only blow hot air... Can't open a window so can't get the room cool, which is a bit ridiculous to be sweating in... More

I've stayed here several times before and had a good experience. It's a good location and rooms are clean and tidy. Stayed again last night and specifically asked for a quiet room. Room was fine only on the third floor so a bit of noise from outside but nothing too bad. However at about midnight the person in the next... More

I stayed here on business, and this hotel did not disappoint. The room was a decent size, and very well presented, the staff were all extremely friendly and were always happy to help. The location is exceptional, shame I could not see St Pauls Cathedral outside of my window, but thats nothing. The room service has two options, food from... More

The good: - Self serve amenities & water server near elevator is a good idea. - Convenient location close to underground and bus. - Brasserie right next door. Other restaurants nearby. - Lounge area with computers is nice. - Has a cloak to keep your luggage if your flight is in the evening. The bad: - Very small, cramped rooms... More

Location - You quite literally couldn't ask for better. Bars, restaurants, sights, transport, souvenirs, business hubs....the tour bus stops outside of the hotel.... Views - The front of the hotel has stunning views of S.t Pauls and the rooms have huge windows for enjoying the view.HOWEVER the windows don't open!!! but to remedy this...the air conditioning is mighty powerful and... We stayed for two nights. The location was great, we explored most of London on foot. Also, it pretty close enough to the Tub station. The room was clean and had most things we need. The stuff were very nice and helpful. There's a small supermarket not even a minute away. We enjoyed the hotel and London.

Starting with the positives.... The location of this place is excellent! Buses Tube and Mlilenium Bridge easy access to all and 15 min walk to almost everything else. The prices are fair! The staff is lovely! Words of caution.... the comfort of the beds here are a good match to the stiffnes of a Brits upper lip. We found both... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
