It crosses the wrong side of the budget vs cheap and nasty line occasionally - rooms tiny, scruffy, sometimes dirty, very noisy. Shared bathrooms. No heat or ac in some rooms and if you try and open the window it's really really noisy from the traffic. Small tv in rooms functional wifi in reception area. Breakfast acceptable. BUT it's central... More

Just OK. Very basic rooms. Worn carpets, old furniture. Bare fluorescent tubes. Shared WC down the hall. Quite noisy. Clean and adequately comfortable though, and hard to beat the price in this location. No Wi-Fi.

Second stay at this great little budget hotel. Yes, it's basic, shared bathrooms and no frills. However spotlessly clean room with comfortable bed, adequate limitless buffet breakfast and only £52 a night. The low cost makes your money go so much further during your stay in London. The County Hotel will be my first choice next time in London. To... More

We stay in the Euston/King Cross area at least once a month for early Eurostar starts the next day. We're typically budget travelers, wouldn't spend above £100 usually on a room. The County is horrible. It's a large hotel and the reception doesn't look too bad. The staff were alright, though they couldn't check me in without a paper printout... More

Over the past few years I have stayed here on several occasions for both Business and Leisure reasons. While it may not have the best facilities in the world, and the decor is definitely dated, if you are looking for somewhere conveniently located, well priced & comfortable then you can't go far wrong with the County. Receptionists are always friendly... More

This hotel is very central to all the attractions, both by being very close to two tube stations, and having bus stops right outside. The room was exceptionally clean, although a bit strange. It was a twin room, but the beds were totally separate, so could easily have been shared by friends as one bed was around the corner from... More

We stayed here for one night. I booked a twin room for my friend and I. It is an old building and it has not been refurbished, but it is really confortable. The only thing I did not like about this hotel was the welcome. The blonde receptionist didn't give me any information about the room or the hotel facilities,... More

If you're looking for a cheap hotel in a convenient location, this would be a good choice. However, be aware that you get what you pay for! The hotel interior does seem a bit dated as does the rooms. The beds were comfortable and clean and there was a TV (I never used it though), wardrobe, dressing table and a... More

Really good....last time after the refurb...decent, clean room, nice tv, helpful staff....this time was a nightmare...the trainee was about as good as it got! (oh, the lifts worked this time)...room hadn't been cleaned (fag-end on the windowsill), window left open (even though signs say to keep it closed when it's windy), tv: forget it! it's a case of moving the...
