My father purchased a city break for my husband and I as an early Christmas gift. The county hotel (hotel is used loosely!) was the hotel that unfortunately came as part of the break. We had checked the reviews beforehand and we weren't expecting luxury but wow were we in for a shock! On entering the building the fusty fishy... More

My father purchased a city break for my husband an I as an early Christmas present. The county hotel (the term hotel is laughable to be quite honest) was the hotel that came as part of our package. We checked reviews beforehand and we weren't expecting luxury but my word were we in for a shock. On entering the building... More

Booked this hotel a while back and knew that it was a basic hotel where you have to share bathroom with others. When we arrived at hotel we were greeted by receptionist who managed to offer a greeting, after we had booked in we were told to collect the key from the porter at his desk,I can only assume that he... I paid £33 for a single room for one night and breakfast included. Room was clean including thorough check of sheets etc. Furnishings were very old though and the entire building in general could do with an update. For a quick overnight stay that is in a very convenient location I would recommend. Most staff lovely and helpful. Breakfast tasted... More

It's location is perfect, it is close to two underground stations and a lot of buses passes by the hotel. In addition you can reach some attractions by walk as well. The rooms are not modern however they are very clean and tidy and one finds all the needs. The shared bathrooms and toilets must have been recently refurbished; they... More

County Hotel is the cheapest of six Imperial Hotels in London, very conveniently situated near St Pancras, King's Cross and Euston stations, with plenty of buses nearby, and within easy walking distance to e.g. the British Library and Museum. Upper Woburn is extremely trafficky, but double rooms (not at all cramped) are situated at the rear. Uneven numbers giving on... More

Quite simple really - it's rubbish, and not even that cheap to justify the rubbishness. Very much a 1960s university hall of residents vibe. Stay in the yha around the corner on the euston road. MUCH nicer

OK the building itself is a little old with metal windows etc But for the price the room was very clean the linen and towels were very fresh. There is only 1 plug in the room so you mite need a multi adaptor to charge more than one piece of tech. Would use again. It looked like the shared bathrooms... More

Dont be fooled by the nice photos of the hotel as the rooms wont be like they are in the picture which is a shame as you can tell that this building was once a lovely hotel. Hints of art deco are visible inside and out, which appears to have missed the 'S' off its name -hoStel - not hotel.... More

This hotel is near the train to Paris. Its near to the tube station Russell squer and to king crose. You can walk to the tube. You have super market in the king cross station. You have a lot of buses near by. The hotel is nice. The breakfast that include in the price is nice. Room is o.k. there... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
