I stayed recently on a business trip, the room being booked through my company. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this hotel was. I was greeted by Simone, a charming and very friendly receptionist, who could not have been more welcoming. For a central location near Cannon Street station, it had everything I needed. The room was clean, very... More

From the few London Travelodges that I've stayed in over the years, this one is the best and the cleanest. No "onsite" restaurant but many food places close by. Fantastic location. Clean rooms. Comfy beds. The staff - these people are amazing. Genuinely nice, professional yet relaxed, very smiley and willing to help. Pleasantly surprised. Thank you very much *... More

Tiny rooms, breakfast in a cardboard box, noisy, sheets that didn't fit the bed, TV didn't work properly... and on top of all that, the day I stayed there they didn't have any hot water! Location is very good bit I won't be using this hotel again.

This is a great addition to the Central London Travelodge portfolio. Tucked away very close to Bank and Cannon St tube,it's in a quiet location at a weekend. Saturday and Sunday night was complete silence, so a great night sleep. Downsides - the shower will soak the whole bathroom, and be careful with the taps or you'll spray yourself. Plus... More

This hotel is in a perfect location for London Central, located next to Bank underground station which is only a few stops to Bond Street, Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Kings Cross. The hotel itself is very quiet, clean and comfortable and definitely worth the money it costs. It was the excellent team of staff working in the hotel though... More

I spent around £60 for a night and for that money I got a clean room with a friendly service. It's more than I expected for the price in the centre of London. It was within 10 minutes walk of St Paul's Cathedral and within 2 minutes of the Bank Underground Station. I liked the shower as it worked well,... More

Great value for money in a prime location. Comfortable, clean, great for laying your head after a busy day and night in the city. Beds comfortable very quiet as down a nice small lane. Cooked breakfast would of been good but not necessary as so much around.

Travelodge London Bank is ideal for business travelers. But if you are a tourist staying over a weekend it is worth remembering that it is in a business district. There is nothing open close by on a Saturday or Sunday evening. The room was exactly as you find anywhere else in the chain, except the shower room. The wash basin... More

for a visit to the O2 this was perfectly located. 3 tube stations very close with access to the whole city. It was very clean and quiet. Perfect for a nights stay. Bathroom could have been a little bigger.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
