Never noticed this Travelodge before - its really tucked away in a courtyard off St Swithins Lane - in fact you have to go a long way in to see the front door. That aside it was of the usual high standards for Travelodge. Room 107 smaller than usual with modest sized windows but very quiet indeed. Scores very high... More

Hotel was booked for the price, but the location was very good being situated in a little courtyard between Bank and Cannon Street stations very handy for The Thames, Tower Bridge and other attractions. We did need to use the satnav when we came out of the underground as there were no signs. Rooms were small and there was only... More

I had been informed that if you were arriving after 10pm you had to ring up to make sure your room was still reserved after this time. On doing so I spoke to a lovely lady who then turned out to be the person on the booking desk when I arrived. She was friendly, welcoming and polite telling me about... More

Set in a quiet location, with quick and easy access to the tube. The room was quiet, spotless, comfortable and warm, the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help. I've stayed in numerous hotels in London but found the location, friendly nature of the staff and value for money will ensure my return.

Having stayed at a few Travelodges before I knew what to expect but this one seems to have been recently refurbished to high standards. Having read other reviews that it was difficult to find I was a bit dubious but located it easily and it's site in the alley means it's away from the hustle and bustle of London noise.... More

I picked the London Central Bank Travelodge because the website showed large size beds in a clean modern room. It certainly filled the bill and more. The staff is very friendly and helpful with local travel advice. The rooms were kept spotless throughout our 8 day stay. The hotel is located next to two tube spots (Bank and Cannon St)... More

Only spent a weekend here, so remember London is quiet on weekends. Nearby stations are Bank and Cannon Street (closed on Sundays). The rooms were tiny with no fridge let alone a minibar. Room service was non existent. Not a great location for tourism except proximity to Bank Station.

Travelodge London Bank is an excellent choice for those looking for good value in a central location. The staff were extremely helpful - particularly the receptionist who could not do enough to recommend lively spots for a late night drink and to ensure we had enough towels (as when we arrived there were only enough for one person in the... This hotel, situated in a quiet alley next to Bank station, is in an excellent location from which to explore London. The staff were very efficient & professional. The hotel was clean throughout. The only issue that I had was that I did not receive a hand towel in the room on the 2nd day. This was quickly resolved by... More

Great service, close to station, clean and tidy. Would have liked a restaurant in site but there was plenty in the surrounding area. Also would have liked a bath I didn't realise there wasn't going to be one

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
