If you know how expensive are hotels in London, then stay in Lonsdale Hotel is relatively cheap, but for that money (or additional) staff could at least be able to print the chek-in coupon for the airplane. I spend some hours to find an internet café on the streets... If you are accustomed to sleep in a soft bed, this... More

Worst hotel i never seen in England. Hotel have to be shutdown and better to renovate. The hotel is full of bedbugs, rats, and insects. The room smells stinky, and bathroom is worst then public toilets. No cleanliness, please make a complaint to health and safety and Fire officer. Because everything they are managing so no one are taking care... More

Basic is an understatement. The place is dilapidated. STAY elsewhere if you want a comfortable, quiet nights rest. Unsafe as communal doors don't lock and reception is not always attended. Very noisy - inside and out. Slamming of internal doors and shoutimg in the street from people in the hostel a few doors down.

I booked a single room. When I arrived I got told that I have to wait until the receptionist is back. So I sat down on a worn out sofa to wait. After 20 minutes the houskeeper (??) decided to just give me my room keys. So I went upstairs with my luggage, I was just in my room when... More

We walked there from the city, so can't fault the location, however this is genuinely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in anywhere in the world, regardless of the price. We opened the front doors to a waft of warm pungent air that did not subside as you moved deeper into the hotel. The receptionist didn't seem at all pleased... More

Choose to book an upcoming stay because of the "Free cancellation - Pay later"-policy. No where in the information provided by the hotel do the state that they might do a pre-payment or reservation, on the contrary. They claim "no deposit will be charged". And still! They did not only reserve an amount equivalent to one night's stay, they actually... More

The worst place I have ever been in. I can't believe this is a hotel. It was extremely dirty. The bed was terrible, and the bathrooms were lousy. I can't say anything good about this so called "hotel". It's more comfy to buy a tent and sleep in the park!

I booked a twin room with en suite the day before. I was given the key to one of these, but I discovered some else's luggage there. There were no other en suite rooms available. Hotel overbooked. Someone had not yet checked-in (booked after me) and I persuaded receptionist to let me have it. The routine procedure is to let... More

Stayed here last year and will never forget.. In a bad way. Stained mattresses, holes in walls aswell as the bed being very uncomfortable. Definitely shell out some extra cash for another hotel instead, there was a reason why it was so cheap in the first place!

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
