The apartment was very spacious and included all the necessary amenities and comfort necessary to start living in London. The property caters more to business travelers on extended stays as it provides very good access to the City. The property is not in the most lively part of London and the location lacks greenery but there are a few restaurants... More

This is the equivalent to a soulless faceless office. But you sleep in it. The area is also very soulless. But it will serve a purpose if you work nearby and don't mind being surrounded by brick and road. The apartments are also just as bland.

We booked this property for a week during our stay in London while joining my husband on a business trip. The location was perfect for him (since it's in The City, and he was about a 10 minute walk from his building), and it's also a short distance to the Tower, bus stops and the Tube. The 2 bedroom/2 bath... More

Without wanting to write a huge biopic of our stay here, its the only way to get across the frustration of our trip - suffice to say there were endless issues with the property. I booked a 2 week stay through SilverDoor Corporate Apartment service when in Australia (admittedly leaving it 6 weeks prior to the trip was a little... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
