My husband and I stayed here last weekend for a one night break. The hotel is about a 10mins walk from London Liverpool Street station and a 2second walk from Tower hill tube stop! The hotel is lovely, very 1920's décor I think. I had pre checked in on-line, however there was a bit of a mix up as we... More

This is my very first review but felt compelled to do it as we've just had such an excellent stay in the Grange City Hotel. We were in London for my birthday and I wanted to stay in a hotel on the Thames by The Tower of London. I chose this hotel as the reviews seemed good and the price... More

The Grange City Hotel went out of their way to welcome us from the moment we checked in. As we were celebrating a birthday we were given a complimentary upgrade to a room with fantastic views over the bridge, late check out and the additional touch of a dessert being delivered to the room. The staff couldn't have done more... More

Stayed here for one night with my son whilst we did the Shaun the sheep trail. Hotel is very nice and the staff helpful, I was originally given a room on the first floor which although was nice, it was small and looked out onto a wall, I asked at reception if there was another available and they kindly upgraded... Very happy with this hotel. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Ideally placed for the City of London, where we wanted to be. The only meal that we had in the hotel was breakfast, which was very good, with an excellent choice of foods to suit all tastes. Would definitely stay in... More

As always it was perfect staying at the Grange City Hotel for my late birthday treat. Swimming/sauna/jacuzzi and an hrs massage, then evening dinner in London. Thanks again Grange City for a brilliant birthday.

We stayed at the Grange City Hotel in August 2014 and had a really nice time - lovely Spa facilities and a great location to get to all the sights. We were there for a friends wedding so an ideal place and can't fault the hotel at all. Although very busy the staff were great and room lovely for the... More

We stayed here for a few nights over half term. The location is great for the tube and the Tower of London/Tower Bridge. Rooms have a nice view. Our room was super noisy because of the lift but as soon as we went to reception we were moved to another room. Baths are ridiculously high to climb into for a... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
