Great hotel and friendly staff. The facilities are great and all your needs are met by eager staff. I booked a standard room and they offered me an upgrade to the junior suite!I would definetly come here again! I wouldn't say this hotel is quite 5* but it's definitely a 4* in my opinion.

Stayed for one night as a short getaway! Hotel really close to Tower Hill and Fenchurch Street stations! Check in super quick but arrived early so left case with concierge and went out for the day returning later to be upgraded to a Executive room with a super king size bed and a small lounge area! Great room amenities in... More

Slightly dated decor but this is a smart and well presented hotel. Professional and attentive staff. Clean and comfortable rooms with very good black out curtains. Decent shower. Overall, a good choice for business or leisure. Ideally placed for the Tower of London.

I stayed for 2 night at the start of May and my time just wasn't great but the response from head office was what I really unhappy with. The stay just wasn't great at all the hotel itself looks great and looks promising but when we got to our room it was just awful. The room was 701 and the... More

Travelled to London with hubby for Army/Navy game and decided to make a weekend of it. The hotel proved to be best situated for everything that we wanted to do. We noticed that our room was slightly on the small side, we we asked about options we were given a complimenty upgrade to a executive double room. Every member of... More

Stayed 3 nights on a Lastminute deal, upgraded on arrival, room very nicely appointed, hotel in a very central location. It could probably do with a little spruce up to meet its 5 star rating. The pool and spa facilities are first rate. I would stay again.

The location trumped everything about this hotel as it was minutes from The Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St Kathrines Dock. Reception upgraded us because it was our first stay and we therefore had a very large room with a super king bed. However we have rated it as average because firstly the doors of the stand alone shower... More

I traveled with a small group of friends to attend a festival concert in the Royal Albert Hall on the same weekend that the VE Celebrations were taking place. The Grange City Hotel proved to be an excellent place to stay at the weekends. Normally it's on the edge of the City's Financial District and so would be very busy... More

We were lucky enough to have a room on the 11th floor. Amazing view of tower bridge and the Shard. service and rooms as good as ever. Excellent location for getting just about anywhere in London by foot or the tube.

Booked in to the Grange after my usual Ibis was not available. Much much better hotel. Greeted by the doormen and fast paced reception staff checked in the queue in front of me which is always a bonus. Room was spacious and had everything that was expected. Internet access was exceptionally good too. Shower had some weird jet things going... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
