Was quite happy with this hotel ... a first time visit and a complimentary upgrade always helps! Never a long wait for anything, and if there were a few people on line, someone was called from the back to reinforce the front desk. I will be switching to this hotel when I visit London on business.

I stayed here with my partner after Christmas, the purpose being a night away to visit the Shard and have dinner and drinks in the city. First things first, this hotel is not a five star hotel that it claims to be, however, we did not pay a five star price to stay here and went with what I thought... More

We stopped here twice and both times have been fantastic and there is not a lot I can say apart from fantastic, the only down side is no car park. It is so close to the Tower of London and the transport links are very good. I would definitely stay here again

I walk past this hotel every day on way to work and always wanted to stay there. So it was our anniversary and we decided to stay up town. Staff at check in very nice no complaints there. The hotel was nice but wouldn't say 5 star. I got deal and paid £118 for the night. After staying at the... More

We stayed here at the beginning of April. When we arrived at check in the trainee receptionist couldn't find our booking. I had emailed weeks in advance and requested an upgrade or a room with a view as it was my partners birthday. She told me she had upgraded us to an executive double but when we arrived at the... Stayed here for the weekend of my girlfriend 's birthday ! Everything was perfect! We have really enjoyed the stay at the hotel! The Health Club was very restoring, nice and comfortable and it was the perfect end of the day after walking in the city! The breakfast was very good and the staff was excellent! Everybody was very friendly,... More

My husband and I stayed here last weekend for a one night break. The hotel is about a 10mins walk from London Liverpool Street station and a 2second walk from Tower hill tube stop! The hotel is lovely, very 1920's décor I think. I had pre checked in on-line, however there was a bit of a mix up as we... More

This is my very first review but felt compelled to do it as we've just had such an excellent stay in the Grange City Hotel. We were in London for my birthday and I wanted to stay in a hotel on the Thames by The Tower of London. I chose this hotel as the reviews seemed good and the price... More

The Grange City Hotel went out of their way to welcome us from the moment we checked in. As we were celebrating a birthday we were given a complimentary upgrade to a room with fantastic views over the bridge, late check out and the additional touch of a dessert being delivered to the room. The staff couldn't have done more... More

Stayed here for one night with my son whilst we did the Shaun the sheep trail. Hotel is very nice and the staff helpful, I was originally given a room on the first floor which although was nice, it was small and looked out onto a wall, I asked at reception if there was another available and they kindly upgraded... Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
