A relatively standard traditional standard business hotel but good staff and I had an excellent executive room with a great view of the Tower of London. Very handy for the City of London. Reasonable gym and swimming pool and quick check in and check out.

Booked a Friday night via last minute.com, so £109, was good value. Breakfast was £23 per person, so we went across the road to the "kitchen" (see other reviews, good place!) where you get a really good breakfast for £8 each.

I have stayed here twice over the past few years and love the location. The hotel maintains a very clean environment and the staff are very helpful! I loved the location as it is steps away from Tower Hill and Tower Bridge. Tower Hill Underground is so close it was very easy to get anywhere we wanted. I am sure... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while visiting London for the first time. Staff was more then helpful with all the tickets and reservations we had to buy and make, we pretty much bought all of the ticket at the hotel (london eye, red bus, zoo... ) and made all of the reservations to the restaurants. The location... More

We have just spent the weekend here and have had a great time. Super Hotel and all the Staff could not have done more or have been more helpful from start to finish. Our room was great with plenty of room and a most comfortable Bed. We felt the Breakfast especially the Continental could have been better and we also... More

Stayed last weekend for one night. I had booked this property back in October as we were going to a show at O2. The room booked was an Executive Room with x 3 adult beds and a few extra bits and bobs. I had emailed the hotel to confirm the booking, last week, and to ask for a room with... More

I did wonder when I saw £144 on Hotwire whether this could really be a 5 star hotel for so little. When we arrived, it all became clear. Hotels must get awarded their stars every 10 years and this must be on the cusp of another review - as it's only really capable of a four star in my opinion.... More

Fabulous hotel from the moment we checked in until the moment we left everything was brilliant. Room was clean, spacious and exceeded expectations. The pool, sauna and spa were divine, The staff could not do enough for you. Can not wait to stay again next month.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience during our 3-day stay here. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, and all of the staff, from reception to restaurant to cleaning staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location is very good, a little out from the centre, very close to Tower Hill tube station, with plenty of areas of interest close by,... Lovely hotel upon arrival, check in was a bit clunky. The room was nice and spacious and clean, the bathroom was however a little disappointing it appeared to be rather dated and shower didn't have any hot water. Breakfast was lovely and nice atmosphere in the hotel. The bathroom just really let it down for me unfortunately. Overall though enjoyable... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
