The hotel is ideally placed for the Tower of London and Trinity House. Despite a lot of building work in the area (and a very unwelcome fire alarm at 3.00AM) it's a peaceful and quiet location with friendly helpful staff and an OK breakfast featuring all the usual range of breakfast fare. The rooms were large and some had views... More

Have stayed here a number of times when in the area over the past couple of years and every time the service is attentive, the rooms are clean, and we are pleased to return. We stayed twice recently and both times were upgraded, once to a suite. The buffet breakfast is one of the better ones that I've experienced in... More

Always a delight, welcoming staff who will assist you in any way they can to make your stay comfortable. I love the pool and Spa too, super treatments :-) However I always skip breakfast which is a bit of a canteen affair and walk across the road to Pepys Street for a more relaxed atmosphere in the London Kitchen Restaurant/Café.

We really enjoyed our stay here in a well appointed room with huge bed and good quality fittings. All members of staff went out of their way to be courteous. Only downside was that our room had a direct view (20 yards away) of the platforms at Fenchurch Street.

Great choice and location. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area. Staff were exceptional and hotel was very clean. Rooms could have done with being refreshed, but nothing to complain about. Breakfast was fresh with a good selection.

We stayed for one night. It was a last minute booking. It is just 5mins walk from Temple Underground station. It is nothing special from the outside, but the interior is lovely. We were on the fourth floor. Room was small but bed was good size. Plenty of storage space in fitted wardrobes. Breakfast was £23 per person. It was... More

We were looking for a good sized room, suitable for adults & grandchildren, with "proper" beds for the kids. Opted for the Grange City and weren't disappointed. We arrived a bit early but were greeted with a friendly and warm welcome by reception and were able to access our room straight away. We were located on the 6th floor with... More

Stayed here for 3 days on the 24th August. Booked 4 rooms for 12 of us including 7 children!! We arrived early 1pm. Straight away reception sorted the rooms out jade sure we were all next to each other ....which was a real bonus as it was great to all be near each other . The rooms were all ready... More

This is my 6th visit to this hotel . I can only thank all the staff for making each visit very special . Highly recommended :) The Spa facility is the best in London. Best relaxing hotel after a hard days work, that I've ever stayed . Families are also treated very well . Food is also amazing !!

Stayed for three nights in August and enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Had a twin room on 3rd floor, was disappointed with view as our room could be overlooked by offices (?) which meant we needed to keep our blinds closed most of the time. This obviously made the room quite dark. Breakfast was good and I am pleased... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
