We had a spontaneous visit to London and needed somewhere cheap but comfortable. This was the perfect place. Clean rooms, friendly staff and superb location! We stayed on a Sunday night and enjoyed a pleasant and quiet night. Would definitely go back.

We stayed here to be close to an event in spitalfields . Location was good , only a short walk to Spitalfields Market . Room was clean , Staff pleasant . It was a tad noisy from drunks outside but it's london so not expecting it to be quiet . Would return again if need a hotel in the area.

I booked to stay here as I was flying out to Italy from City airport early the next morning. The hotel is well located down a rat-run, a short 2/3 minute walk from Liverpool Street stations main entrance; very easy to find. The hotel is set back away from the main huddle of the city meaning noise is at a... More

Stayed one night at this hotel. If you are doing business in London City and need to stay for the night Travelodge is a good option. Although not a fancy hotel the room was nice and clean. The lady at the reception was friendly and the check-in procedure was quick and easy. Price for the room was also reasonable. On... More

I stayed here in a twin room with a friend for a night in March 2015. They gave us a double room to begin with, but changed us to the twin room I had booked on request. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a single bed each which was fine for a night. We had breakfast in the cafe... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night in March. Wanted to be near the Sunday spitalfields markets and it was very reasonable priced for Central London £76 Saturday night rate. Room was small and basic but clean. Felt safe and secure was very warm and bed was large and comfy. We only slept here and got straight back up the... More

You get what you'd expect which is to say everything is as cheap as it can possibly be but at least it is functional and comfortable. I would kill myself if I had to stay here for a week but one night was fine. I wouldn't say the price was all that cheap at £100 per night but I guess... More

The bed was comfortable and the hotel is in a quiet location yet it's central to Liverpool Street tube station where you can take transport to nearby attractions, such as museums, parks, nightspots and many areas to look around. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful too. We actually requested a quiet room and bath which we got but we... More

Very handy for the Discount Suit Company Cocktail Bar which was great ! Comfortable clean and friendly. Great reception staff who helped with directions and a map. You could park in the sreet nearby but as it's in the congestion zone we would have had to get out of the zone before 7am. Ended up parking outside the congestion zone... More

The thing that impressed me most of all about this Travelodge were all the staff. They were all so helpful and friendly without exception. I accidentally left my door ajar one morning and a really nice young lady knocked to point it out to me. All of the staff genuinely seemed to want to help you and checked if everything... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
