Recently stayed at this Travelodge as was in London on a course for 3 days. The hotel is only a short walk from Liverpool Street Station. On arrival, the check in process was short and simple and I was told about all the facilities available in the hotel. My room was clean and tidy and met all my expectations that... More

Really enjoyed our weekend stay at travelodge . Staff there really made our trip enjoyable especially rosylin. Would stay there again as it is really convenient for trains and tube so you are not far from Oxford street or Covent garden which are a must to visit.

I know that £100 a night in the City of London is a bargain, but this feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Everything is at the bare minimum with rails instead of closets, you have to request a hairdryer or iron from reception, and a small limited channel TV. Staying for work means spending quite a lot of... More

This hotel was great! Very clean, cheap and the location is amazing when travelling the city as Liverpool St station is a couple of minutes walk away. I was really annoyed at check-in though as we arrived at 12 noon with our bags and was told we couldn't check in until 2pm. We had all our bags so, we had... More

We stayed in this hotel four nights from 7th of May. If you want a neat, clean and safe hotel without frills and luxuries, this is a good alternative. If you want a nice weekend where the hotel experience is important, go somewhere else! The hotel seemed to be recently renovated. Our room was simple, but clean. The bed was... More

The room was quite hot so I had to sleep with the window open. At 4am I was woken by what initially sounded like bin men collecting the rubbish. However, the noise went on... and on.... and on. I can only assume that this is due to the CrossRail construction work that is going on in the area.

this was a last minute stay only booked a couple of days in advance so was very surprised at the price. The room was spotless and the staff very polite and friendly. lots of local bars and places to eat, ideal for a city stay close to the public transport link. We wil certainly be staying again and will now... More

I like to focus on the positives in life so we'll start with those! The room was clean and had a heater. The bed was comfortable enough and I managed to get some sleep, and that's what I was paying for. Unfortunately when I arrived there was no one at check in. The sign said to use self service kiosks.... More

I originally booked in for a room at another Travelodge but when I arrived the receptionist could see that my booking had been cancelled and that they had no rooms available. However, the receptionist then contacted their central booking services and arranged for alternative accommodation locally. Therefore, a poor situation was recovered by great customer service. Liverpool Street Travelodge was... More

Stayed here while attending a course near tower bridge. It's a bit pricey for a B&B, but it's only a 15 min walk to the tower and quite well located for pubs and restaurants. Rooms are adequate and cleaned to a high standard daily. Disappointed that my 650 pounds only gets me wifi for 30 mins a day, but with... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
