Handily located near Liverpool St station. Clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would defiitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in London for a short break.

We stayed here for 1 night in a family room and were more than happy with what we paid for. It's a 3 minute walk from Liverpool st station. Check in was quick and easy, the guy who checked us in couldn't have been more helpful and gave us information about buses, tubes and local amenities etc (off license on... More

I've now used this hotel most weekdays for the last two months and have found it to be good value by central London standards. Most of the rooms I stayed in were above average condition, although the common areas (stairs, reception, corridors) were becoming well worn/ tired. Amenities as you'd expect are basic, so its fine for a basic cooked... More

Reception and restaurant area also lovely and clean and the place in general smelt lovely and fresh. Staff were very polite and helpful, we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

We had a spontaneous visit to London and needed somewhere cheap but comfortable. This was the perfect place. Clean rooms, friendly staff and superb location! We stayed on a Sunday night and enjoyed a pleasant and quiet night. Would definitely go back.

There was a musty smell in the 3rd floor circulation, vibrations from the underground and no Blue Becks in the bar. Some external noise was noticeable. The bed was comfortable and the shower OK. The curtains wouldn't close fully because the right hand had parted from its hooks.

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
