Good value, convenient, comfy, excellent staff. No frills but would stay again - easy access to train, underground and buses. Good value breakfast. Lots of restaurants within easy access. Nothing was too much trouble for staff in all departments. Would definitely stay again.

Me and my friend stayed here over night, we pre booked. Check in was fast and friendly, the room spacious and clean with all the things you could need: towel, kettle, fan and tv. The bed was very comfy and warm. The night time staff and manager were very accommodating as i needed an extra pillow due to back problems... More

Check in was a bit rusty, as the gentleman at receptions English was poor. Overall the room was excellent, comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was value for money, and was cheaper boking it over the phone, the reservation system was complicated and non f the rates added up, so opted to call instead, but call charges are stupidly priced.... The hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful. The location is perfect for Liverpool street station and so great for a city break seeing the sites. The rooms are basic but clean. The breakfast was good and the facilities were clean too. Reception staff happy to help you find out where you need to go, and with a... More

Recently stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting Shoreditch for a night out. The hotel is situated nicely for Shoreditch with only a short cab ride or a 15 minute walk getting you into the heart of the action. It is quite basic but clean & comfortable & the staff were all very helpful & polite. I left an electrical... More

Couldn't be more central to the City and where we wanted to be, very clean and fresh, great place to stay, by far the best Travelodge experience to date. Great staff, quiet location and excellently maintained. Great value in this high priced part of London. Welcoming room, wish we had had longer.

Upon arrival at nearly 10pm we were met by a very cheerful and happy Sylvester in reception. He made sure we knew where our room was and how to get to it. We dropped of our bags and just made it in to the bar/café to get a food order in. Our first question to the barman / food order... More

I am on crutches after a total hip replacement and was very nervous that the hotel bed, toilet etc would be the wrong height. In fact, they were fine and we had a really comfortable stay. The room was comfortable, very quiet and everything was there that you'd expect. The staff, both in the evening and in the morning were... More

Good location and easy to find. Easy access to the underground. Rooms good size and spotlessly clean. Outside noise quiet. This is not the best travelodge as in location, however the staff were amazing, nothing was to much trouble. They provided me with a brilliant map, and printed off lots of information. This is properly the best staff ive ever... More

Stayed at quite a few different Travelodge's - and this is by far the best experience I've had. Staff are very friendly and helpful - provided iron and extra mugs/cups. Went to the bar also - staff were happy to help. Accidently overslept and ended up checking out at 1pm, staff didn't charge the £10 late check out fee which... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
