Stayed here while attending a course near tower bridge. It's a bit pricey for a B&B, but it's only a 15 min walk to the tower and quite well located for pubs and restaurants. Rooms are adequate and cleaned to a high standard daily. Disappointed that my 650 pounds only gets me wifi for 30 mins a day, but with... More

1st location is great if you want to explore London very close to Liverpool St Station. Check in: After a nice 12 hour day of work and traveling I arrived at the hotel at 23:00 to meet the receptionist (no names given on my reviews). Instantly the guy didn't have a clue what to do, it took over 15 minutes... More

I stayed for 2 nights on business in a double room. The room was comfortable although the bathroom was very small. I don't like the dispensers for soap and shower gel and much prefer the small bottles you get in other hotels. I guess they do this to save money. Breakfast is ok with choice of cooked breakfast or cereal.... More

The check in procedure for us was hectic as we requested a room for three and was told to book a double room and request an additional bed on the phone. When we arrived they thought we had booked two double rooms and there was no note of us ever ringing (we called in twice). Because of this we had... More

We stayed here for 1 night in a family room and were more than happy with what we paid for. It's a 3 minute walk from Liverpool st station. Check in was quick and easy, the guy who checked us in couldn't have been more helpful and gave us information about buses, tubes and local amenities etc (off license on... More

I've now used this hotel most weekdays for the last two months and have found it to be good value by central London standards. Most of the rooms I stayed in were above average condition, although the common areas (stairs, reception, corridors) were becoming well worn/ tired. Amenities as you'd expect are basic, so its fine for a basic cooked... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
