The entrance was very nice. The reception staff nice but English not that good, clean rooms, felt safe, issues with the TV did not work, hair dryer did not work, and the shower was tooooo hot could not turn it down, no moveable stay head so found having a shower difficult, the other room had mattresses on the balcony drying...... Upon reading all the reviews myself and two friends arrived with extremely low expectations. I felt very compelled to review the Palace Court hotel as it exceeded all those expectations. Whilst it is a little old and, yes there is no lift the rooms are clean, we felt safe and looked after. What more do you need? We were very... More

You are looking at this hotel because it is cheap. How many hotels can you stay at for under £60/night in underground zone 1? Not many. I see this as an upgrade from a hostel. It is very basic but you have your own room, not sharing a dorm. It's all about expectation. On the positive side it is a... More

I was in a rush so I was looking for any room to spend a night in London. By booking with this hotel, my nightmare became true. So first , the receptionist was not welcoming at all. I asked him some questions about the area and buses and he couldn't reply. And he is welcoming you by saying that you... More

Arrived and the staff were rude and impolite. Asked us to sign a slot for breakfast the next morning so we did. We got to our room and the whole thing was on the slant so everything we put on the table would fall off. They had taken all the drawers out of the furniture for some reason! The place... More

This is without doubt the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was a good size but that's about as far as it goes for good points. 1st issue was the view from our window... it looked like a dumping ground for old mattresses and beds. We planned on having a shower on arrival but once we saw the... More

The property is in a residential area between Bayswater and Notting Hill. With that said, the clientelle are teenagers and early 20-somethings who want posh bragging rights of where they're staying while paying a hostel budget. Here's what I observed in the one-week stay: (1) Spaniards are loud past 2am running up and down the hallways knocking each other's door,... More
