Stayed here for one night for a friends birthday with some other friends. When we arrived,we were told one room was ready,as we had booked two then 10 minutes passed and we were told that neither room was ready. We were slightly early but staff seemed to be having a bit of trouble sorting this out.We had a show booked and came... A good 5-10 minute walk from Victoria Station. Staff and food were excellent. Can't fault them at all. Rooms were very average. A group of us stayed on business for a week and rooms ranged from spacious and comfortable with two double beds to shoe box size with pull down beds and no room to swing a cat. Persons of... More

Thank you for your review. The Grange Rochester Hotel is a townhouse hotel and the rooms do vary in shape and size. Perhaps you would like to try one of our 5* purpose built properties which have more uniform shape and sized rooms. We are pleased you found our staff helpful. More

Recommended by Defra I stayed overnight in this lovely hotel on the top floor. The room was relatively big and more than comfortable. The staff, I experienced, is very friendly and helpful. Especially during breakfast, plenty of personnel were busy serving the guests, which marks a difference with most hotels

Spent only 1 night here but the hotel is ok, clean and the staff seem efficient. The room we had was not exceptional but not bad either, the sort of room that is ok for a few nights, but not more. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed here for a weekend. We were upgraded to an executive room. It was a little on the small size compared to some hotels but perfectly adequate. Nice bathroom and a balcony overlooking the square; free Wi-Fi; classicly decorated; However it was a great price; remarkably low for a 4 star hotel in Central London. Its about 10 mins... More

I stayed here for one night on business on what turned out to be the coldest night of the year. I was upgraded to a huge room with a lovely view of the park but was worried it might be cold as I had four large windows. I needn't have been. The radiators pumped out heat and the hotel was... More

The one saving grace is the location, close proximity to tube station and historical sites, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. My employer paid for premium Internet service, of which there was none, mixed messages from staff about breakfast being served on the day of departure, resulting in forfeit of a meal in order to catch my flight, and the 'Do... I stayed here for one night on business, January 2015. The room was small but comfortable, and the hotel is ideally located for Victoria Street. However, on going to bed, I discovered a false nail and a small patch of gum-like substance on the bed sheet. Called reception who sent up a charming concierge with fresh sheets, but I had... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights on business - very impressed with staff, who were all very helpful. Loved the quiet ambience of the lounge bar and nice to relax in. Food was good and service impressive. Room small but had everything that I needed . Would come back with family or on business.

I have stayed at this hotel several times whilst on business in London. It is ideally located and good value for money. My most recent visit was Jan 2015 and I was very pleased with everything!!...the room was nice, room 103, very quiet, overlooking the park with all the facilities. Although it was busy at breakfast, the staff were very... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
