Grange Rochester has the following going for it: First, very friendly and helpful staff 9a big plus); also fairly large rooms especially for London hotels; convenient access to Victoria underground and bus station; shopping and even theatres. Quite a number of restaurants around. One (an Indian Restaurant) is just 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel. My booking include room and... More

so on arrival I got the usual palava about being upgraded......so I got to my room to find it has a fold out bed which was so low to the floor and had no headboard so it was impossible to sit in bed and watch TV.. The carpet was threadbare on the entry to the bathroom which itself was very... More

The Grange Rochester was a great place to base ourselves to see all the famous London sights. A short 10 min walk to Victoria Station and 15 min to Westminster. Rooms were an ok size but we only slept there as we were out everyday so was more than adequate. A good English breakfast though a tad pricey and the... More

This hotel is in such a great area. An easy walk to all of Westminsters famous attractions. Easy access to buses and trains. Plenty of eateries nearby. Hotel offers fine dining and a pub. Loved the pub. The room was more than adequate since we toured everyday. The staff is most courteous and professional. Safe area, we are an older... More

I stayed here as part of a business stay and couldn't fault the room or the staff. The room was spacious, the street noise was minimal (for someone who lives in the country, this was refreshing for a stay in London!) and I slept like a log, which is highly unusual for me in a city hotel. The room was... More

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time was business, this time I returned for a weekend theatre break in London. I chose to return to the hotel because it is situated in a quiet street but only a 10 minute walk from Victoria train, underground and coach station. You can easily walk to... More

Book this hotel as part of a show and stay package and was not expecting much as it was very cheap price but was immediately impressed by the quality of the hotel and the service from the staff. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Stayed here one night on business. I was lucky to be upgraded to a family room, which was nice and spacious. The bathroom was a bit cramped but fine for just one night. I suspect those staying longer might want a bit more room. I had a bar meal at one of their two bars, which was good and reasonably... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
