I stayed at the Bedford for 5 nights and it was the right fit for me. Reasonable cost, friendly staff, convenient location, comfortable bed, lots of hot water. A very acceptable 3 star hotel. Ask for a room facing the garden to avoid traffic noise.

The rooms are tiny, like in most of London's hotels. No electronic key cards, but instead physical keys with massive metal slabs attached, rather ridiculous to carry and use. Otherwise all fine, clean and decent breakfast offered.

Twin beds, dirty towels, a old fashioned key attached to a foot long metal bar, non flushing toilet, Wi-Fi access that only lasted 8 hours at a time (you have to go downstairs to the front desk and get a new password every 8 hours) and that was just the first night. The location was pretty good, the restaurant staff... More

The hotel's staff was nice and were helpful. We booked a twin room (since there were no available double rooms on the list) and asked for a double room and also a room that faces the courtyard and we receives both of our requirements, which was excellent. The hotel itself is pretty old and still uses technologies that were used... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Clean hotel, located near tube station. Room is tidy and big enough, you can find a kettle and an iron in the room. Beware of a difference between continental and English breakfast. I had a room with continental breakfast included, so when I took a couple of sausages I must pay 5 pounds for English... More

As any traveler would say: location, location . location. It was a good location from everywhere you want to go. London eye, Big Ben, Buckingham and anywhere else tourist. & my favorite Harrods! We got there a little late at night since it was a bit of a drive from the International airport. Check in was quick, staff was helpful... More

I have been stopping at this Hotel on a regular basis now while on business for well over 18-years. For me the location is perfect, close to two tube stations for access to the wider area, a 10-minute walk to Covent Garden and a similar distance to Oxford St for shopping a plenty. The hotel benefits from an underground car... More

Stayed for just two nights B&B, this also entitled us to a free three course evening meal. We had dinner plans for both nights but were able to use the voucher for a late bar lunch on arrival, very welcome. All the hotel personnel were friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast room staff who deserve a special mention. The small... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
