We stayed here over weekend with kids. We felt warmly welcome, and staff was friendly. It was a surprise how spacey the flat was! There were two rooms. Location was close to train, easy access to downtown London. Zone 2, Limehouse. I read the train had bothered someone, but even though our windows were towards the railway, it didn't bother... More

A real haven of peace in a big city. Nice and clean rooms, close to the DLR station, close to the Troxy, good continental breakfast buffet. Friendly service. Free and safe parking! Should really recommend it.

We spent a very comfortable three nights here whilst visiting the sights in London. All staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. We had a good-sized room (number 2) on the ground floor and facing the garden. It was very quiet, a million miles away from the hustle and bustle outside. The room was simply furnished and the beds were comfortable... More

Fourth visit for a short conference. This is a delightful oasis, though do ask for a garden view room - better view and quieter. The rooms are simly furnished but comfortable, and spacious for a single room. It's well located too, near DLR Limehouse. It's not a hotel, or hotel style, but offers a refreshing change to a hotel.

I stayed here whilst working in London. It is very close to the DLR line (Limehouse) and easy to find (I walked). the hotel is finished off to a high standard and it is very quiet. There are no Televisions in the rooms (which is great!) but there is one in the lounge should you wish. I cant comment on... More

Really pleased to discover this comfortable and welcoming place to stay in London - rather unusual as it is a conference centre/retreat rather than a hotel. The bedrooms are fairly basic but comfortable and warm with large en-suite shower rooms. The garden at the back is quiet and there is a large sitting room. Continental breakfast is of a very... More

St Katharine's is centrally located and its history fascinating. We stayed there many years ago when it was still a monastic foundation. On this occasion we arrived in London at 6am local time and made our way, suitcases and all to St Katharine's. It was known to the staff that we had been travelling for some 24 hours from Sydney... We only stayed for one night but it was just what we needed, a nice bit of peace in a busy London spot. Staff were very friendly & helpful and breakfast was well presented, they don't have TV's in the rooms but with free wifi you could watch something on your laptop if you can't do without. Lovely powerful shower,... More

Dear DilemmaBergson, Thank you for your delightful review and I am sure the ability to stay in one of our sought after garden rooms helped to make your stay that bit extra enjoyable. We were visiting London for a concert (26/10/14) and we made a reservation to stay at St Katherine’s after reviewing Trip Advisor. We were NOT disappointed. Located at Lime House and next door to the DLR, St Katherine’s is very well appointed. We stayed in a twin room as I was travelling with a friend. We were greeted by a... More

Just returned from a family overnight trip to London. As others have said this is not a 'hotel' it is a retreat in the east end of London. Maybe I have an advantage of knowing what to expect as I work at a retreat centre myself. We had a family room which consisted of a double and a twin, with... More
