Stayed a couple of nights for my marathon run. Very clean. Staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast. Unfortunately our room was above the front door which people took great delight in slamming. Also they didn't put the requested cot in our room so we had to ask at reception, but this was quickly remedied. If not for these things it would... More

We stayed overnight to enable us to visit family elsewhere in London and to see some sights. The room was a good size, bed very comfortable, and had an ensuite bathroom with bath - lots of hot water! The lack of a television was not a problem at all, and adds to the sense of peacefulness that pervades the whole... More

I found St Katherine's on a price comparison website. I am not a very discerning traveller and price plus acccessibility are more important than facilities. St Katherine's ticks the boxes. Close to DLR and the City, good value, susprisingly good breakfast (would have loved to linger longer), and although the rooms are small, the peace and quiet make up for... More

Loved the thought you wanted to "linger longer over breakfast". We try to be the kind of place where people want to take their time and relax. More

We stayed at this Hotel and so did our Son and his girlfriend on Saturday night. We arrived at 1am and got our room straight away. We then sat in a room overlooking the garden with a bottle of wine until our son arrived. The wine was very reasonably priced for a Hotel and was served to us. The staff... More

Glad you had such a good stay and are coming again. There is toast at breakfast. Ask one of the staff and they will show you where it is next time you come to stay. More

The standard of accommodation is a notch above Premier Inn (lack of TV is a bonus for me!) and Wi-Fi is excellent. If you want a quiet night and an open window ask for a garden room. Catering is on the good side of basic - and very wholesome. This oasis of tranquillity is a ten-minute taxi ride east from... More

We chose to stay at St Katharine's while visiting one of our sons who lives in Limehouse in preference to the nearby Holiday Inn, as we were travelling with our other son who has a disability and needs a quiet environment. We were very pleased that we took this option as it was an ideal choice, and the usual hotel... More

So pleased you had a good visit and we were able to help with this family get together. Sorry about the wait to check-out, this is unusual and we will review our practice. We hope to see you again when visiting your Limehouse based son. More

Quiet surroundings, clean modern rooms, not too much in the way of religious icons. The chapel is worth a visit even out of interest. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast fresh in the way of cereals, toast, boiled eggs, yoghurt, juice, good coffee. Easy to find and signposted from DLR, which itself is easy to navigate. Local can... More

We are amazed by the number of people who tell us that not having a TV in the room is a bonus-gives some quality thinking time. Glad you enjoyed breakfast and that it was easy to find our oasis. More

I previously visited this establishment some months ago and occupied a standard room. Unfortunately there was traffic noise with the standard room. This time I occupied a garden room and was pleased to find no traffic noise. I could hear the occasional DLR train but it was no issue. Within the building it was very tranquill and the staff were... My first weekend break alone and I was a little apprehensive but their really was no need to be. It really is the peaceful oasis it says it is. So easy to find from the DLR. Friendly welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable room, excellent breakfast. Will definitely be returning ASAP. Highly recommendable.

My wife and I stayed at St. Katharine's whilst attending a function at the Cruising Association, in Limehouse Basin, just a short walk away. What beautiful peaceful and quiet location in the centre of a very busy part of London. The price which included breakfast was extremely reasonable. The whole complex was immaculate. We shall definitely stay here again. We... More
