Love this hotel as the location is ideal for the stations. Lovely ambience and room was deluxe so nice and spacious. TV sound poor, BBC2 unusable. Vibration felt in the room but did not stop us getting to sleep. Huge comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious although choice Nora's good as when I stayed there a few years ago. Waitress did... I highly recommend this hotel - the king size room we had was spacious, the service was excellent, the English breakfast was included in our room rate and highly worth negotiating for (The breakfast cost 29 pounds per person, is is a buffet with many items). The hotel has a lovely bar area and night club, it is close to... More

Stayed at this hotel to visit the Chelsea flower show, the accommodation was OK - booked through Travelzoo but unfortunately service was very poor. We went to the brasserie bar after eating out, arrived at 10.25 pm only to be advised that the bar was closing at 10.30 so we had to go to another bar which did NOT serve... More

I booked a twin room. We expected 2 single beds, but was given a double bed, so we complained and they moved us. Couldn't believe what they moved us too. 1 single bed and a folding camp bed which was unbelievable, so complained again and had the double bed back, so had to share with a friend. Beautiful place, lovely... More

The hotel has an excellent location at 5 min walk from the B. Palance and many other London sites. Nice Vivaldi welcome atmosphere at the reception - good match with the lovely architecture. Limited food options. wanted to order room service, no number mentioned on the menu card, finally call the reception for a direct number, which I tried 2... More

If travelling by the Gatwick Express to the centre of London this hotel is fantastic for the weary and tired traveller. The train gets you straight into the station and the hotel has a rear entrance from the station into the hotel. The hotel is clean, tidy well immaculate and very quiet considering it is on a main road and... More

Wonderful hotel. The location was perfect. Just a short stroll through a hall and down some stairs and you are in Victoria Station!! Also, the coach station is a block away. Within walking distance to Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, etc. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. The service was excellent. The restaurant/lounge had delicious food and the... More

This hotel is directly adjacent to Victoria Station - in fact, it built as part of the station and retains some of the union. Although not as grand as I had expected, the superb staff and outstanding location made my three week stay there the experience of a lifetime.

What a beautiful hotel. Walking into the opulent foyer and being dealt with in a welcoming, and efficient manner set the bar for our stay. Although we were only staying one night we knew that our visit would be memorable and for all the right reasons.

Hotel and facilities were fantastic. Service in the Brasserie was very slow. We even walked out as our deserts took so long to arrive, we waited a good 25 minutes! Be AWARE the staff add a service charge to everything!!!!! We do not believe this to be fair as most people will leave tips for the staff and they should... More

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your post which made disappointing reading. I do appreciate you letting us know of your dining experience and will be sure to share your feedback with my team, as there are clearly some training issues that need to be addressed. The service charge in our bar and restaurant is optional and can be removed if our... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
