Always wanted to stay in this historic hotel and took the chance with a last minute booking. Was a great experience. Room was a little small, but good for london, everything worked and was well fitted and maintained and had a great nights sleep. They also had a good gym and the best location for victoria station or the british... More

Best hotel experience on our 9 week world trip. We stayed here twice as we went through London (total of 7 nights). The first time we were in a executive room which was a little small but had the most amazing bathroom. The second time we upgraded to a suite which gave us the room we desired. Both stays were... This hotel has great potential and a lot going for it - mainly decor and location. The food in the Brasserie Restaurant was adequate but the staff were very poor. They didn't seem to have the basic skills required to be waiters. They tried to give us our starter and main meal at the same time and when we requested... More

We stayed 4 nights in a standard room. Hotel was newly redone and clean with a friendly staff. Victoria train station was just beneath us and very convienet for hoping the Tube to anywhere in London and the HOHO bus stopped just outside. Included breakfast was buffet and very complete with nothing overlooked from fruit to pasteries. Only hitch was... More

We stayed for one night on a visit to see Buckingham Palace and a theatre trip to see Wicked. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and handy for lots of attractions. Staff were friendly and polite. Handy for rail links and bus station Would definitely go back as it is very reasonably priced. Ideal if you are going for... More

Gorgeous hotel and great location. Couldn't fault our stay. Loved every minute. Was able to check in early which was ideal. Great night sleep. Then they held on to our bags when we checked out so we enjoyed our day trip.

How can a hotel as big as the Grosvenor operated by a group as large as Guoman find (and retain) dedicated staff who make it feel like a family run establishment? On one level, the corporate giant of Guoman require their customers to use money making 0871 numbers to make a telephone booking, on the other level there are staff... More

We treated ourselves so stayed for one night in executive suite. Disappointed no one helped us with our bags on trying to climb stairs to enter hotel, there should be someone on the door. Rita looked after both of us well on checking in. Bathroom was very small though and shower fittings were very loose and dangerous, we reported it... More

Absolutely brilliant hotel from check in to check out, Amazing staff, fabulous breakfast and well equipped and comfortable rooms. Would not hesitate to stay here again. We stayed in the wing rooms which were easily accessed and very very quiet. The rooms have obviously been renovated to a high standard but the reception areas still had the feel of days... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
