My husband and I recently stayed here for 7 nights. We are Americans but have traveled frequently to Europe. The Good: If you plan to get around using public transportation, the location next to Victoria Station is very handy; there's even a door from the station itself into the hotel, so you don't even have to go outside. The presence... More

Stayed for 2 nights in May, reception staff very welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Good location, 5 minute walk from Victoria coach station, few minutes from Victoria train and tube stations. Breakfast is self service, with fast choice of cereals, bread, cakes, fruit, cheeses, cooked meats and full cooked breakfast. This was... More

Stayed here as going to Buckingham Palace. Next to Victoria station and close (walkable) to the palace. Good standard of room, clean and facilities. Cocktail bar was nice (if a bit pricey) and breakfast buffet was spot on. The concierge went out of his way to get us a cab, a nice touch. Pretty much all you could ask for... More

Stayed here with my best friend for a girlie weekend in london as part of a package deal. The location was incredible, its ajoined to victoria train station (although you would never know once your inside) and it has a tube station basically on your door step. 3 min tube ride to buckingham palace, 5 min tube ride to oxford... I stay here for business as close to the office. Rooms are nice but on the small side if you are staying there on an extended trip. Some rooms have tiny bathrooms and moving around can be tricky. Staff always very nice and every where always clean. When you put a "do not disturb" sign on the room, they do... More

Stayed for one night only. Convenient, right next door to the train station and underground. Looked very grand on entry. Had to wait for about 5 minutes to check in as there was only 1 staff and he was dealing with a rather unhappy looking customer. Checked in ok, took me good 10 minutes to find my room. The instruction... More

We chose the Grosvenor because of its location - situated on the concourse at Victoria Station it was excellent for arrival from Gatwick airport by train and offered great tube and bus services on the doorstep. We booked a standard twin room - the least expensive option and got a smallish room with basic facilities. The beds were comfortable and... More

spent couple nights here. Enjoyed the hotel. Was in Wing room but was a trek and took the third key to work so a lot of walking back and forth to reception. Ate in Brassiere food lovely and tasty but portions small and could have been hotter and was expensive so ate out on the second night for almost half... More

I had reserved 2 rooms through my travel agent and when we arrived the reservationist told me one room had been cancelled. Not a great start. This was after a day of traveling, hailing a cab from the train station and being met at the front door to the Grosvenor by no one. The kind cab driver watched our bags... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
