I've been here a couple of times, the first time in the early 70's for Hygena's 50th Anniversary, and the second time to see if my team had won the 'Outstanding Library Management Team' award...we didn't, but that didn't stop it being a wonderful evening. It's a lovely place for a 'special night' - it has a distinct feeling of... More

Just returned fron a weeks stay at the Grosvenor Hotel. You enter into the grand lobby with the most beautiful crystal chandelier. We were met by on of the friendliest staffs I've experienced. They were also very helpful making out plans for the day. Excellent breakfast . The standard rooms are quite small so we upgraded to the next largest... More

We Stayed in an exec room and it was nicely furnished We made use of the exec lounge but on most occasions we were the only people there so felt it lacked a bit of atmosphere. Hotel had delivered some cake to room as it was my birthday so that was a nice touch. The only let down was the... More

I stay at the Grosvenor in excess of 20 nights a year and this is the first time I have reviewed staying there. I really like it, its very accessible from London Victoria, with a door straight from the station into reception. Their Guoman membership means that after a few stays you get automatic room upgrades. The rooms are not... More

Stayed 3 nights. Recently renovated older building. Nice rooms with kind beds, desk, closet and bathroom. Desk chair a little springy. Darker, but funky decor. Nice executive breakfast room. Young staff, a little inexperienced. Brasserie restaurant a little basic, but decent burger and beer. The more formal restaurant has good Chinese food. Small gym but nice new equipment.

Ok, so I didn't actually sleep here, but I wanted to acknowledge the hotel staff. After an exhausting search for a pub that would be playing the El Classico football match near the Victoria Coach station area, we saw through the window that the Grosvenor hotel was playing it...! We weren't dressed to the higher standards that the hotel seemed... More

We informed the hotel that it was a birthday treat. When we got to the room there was a lovely card which was a picture of the hotel (which I still have) and a lovely bottle of wine. Excellent staff too.

Beautiful hotel, with efficient and friendly staff, and a sumptuous breakfast buffet in the mornings. Hotel is adjacent to Victoria Station and is perfectly located in the heart of the city. 5 minute walk to the Hop on Hop off bus, few minutes walk to pubs and shops, 20 minutes walk to the London Eye, and Thames River Cruises, and... We will never stay overnight here again. 6 months ago my daughter had several causes of complaint so we were given a reduced rate to make amends last weekend. My daughters room was immaculately turned out BUT our twin room next door was shambolic. You could write your name in the dust on the dressing table, BUT WORSE STILL to... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
