You folks had me scared to death about this hotel-reading your reviews was the worst thing I could do before we left for our 4 nights at this hotel. Like most of the reviewers we had booked this hotel sight unseen with British Air-we had a pay one night get one free special. We had a triple room-took our Grandson... More

This has been the worst trip of my young life! Our school told us that it would be a nice hotel but when we arrived we were shocked...it reminded us of the old Elvis-Song "In the ghetto"...We were looking forward to having a comfortable place where we could rest our hurting feet from walking through London, seeing all the important... This review may be a bit dated, as I stayed here in July 2000. However, I don't imagine things have changed dramatically. The rooms were tiny and cramped. My room was lit with florescent lighting (absolutely horrible). Cheap bed linens. No electronic locks on doors (in fact, you couldn't even take your hotel key with you when you left for... More

I have stayed at the Royal National 8-times (2-weeks each stay for a cumulative total of about 4-months) so, unlike the other reviewers, I’m not writing about a 1- or 2-night stay in only one room. Two stays were in the old section, 5 were in the new. I know the hotel pretty well now and I have never had... More

We have just returned from the Royal National and have no complaints at all. (2 adults and 2 teenagers). After reading the reviews on this site we were dreading what we would find but decided to make the most of our holiday as we knew we would only be using the hotel for sleeping and breakfast. (I would not have... More

Sorry, my english isn't quite good but i need to express myself about the Royal National: I stayed during easter week 05. I realized that television didn't work, and I ask for a solution three times in three days. At last, they repaired the television. It's the firts time that a hotel does'nt care about my desires. Moreover, one day... More

Having stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, we were surprised to find how much it had improved. We went with a family group and had 3 separate bedrooms. All bedrooms were clean and reasonable size for London. This is a very large hotel and caters to a large extent for school/college groups and bus tours. Even so, on the... More

The reason we stayed there was because of the cheap deal offered. We were planning on only coming back to the hotel for sleep and food ie.breakfast. After reading some reviews on this site, I was very anxious, dreading the worst. The negative points of this hotel were that the rooms were quite small, if you have a room facing... More

I stayed here some years ago. I dropped a wet towel on the carpet, and when I picked it up (in about one second), it was absolutely filthy.

My boyfriend and I have stayed for 2days at this hotel at Easter, which in my opinion, don't deserve to be called "royal".When we arrived,we were received by an unpleasant woman, who told us we had to wait till 2pm.At 2pm there were so many people in the lobby, that we had to wait for more than an hour to check in.Later,we... Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
