Stayed here for one night before a contiki and 3 nights after. Everything was very old and very run down, seems they don't spend much, if any, money on maintenance here. Both rooms that we had were clean considering how the corridors of the hotel look, which was a pleasant surprise. No wifi available, even in the lobby. Reception staff... More

No complaints really , cheap central hotel. Ok if its just somewhere to lay your head after a long day out, as it was for us. Rooms would benefit from air conditioning as they were stiffling. Breakfast was ok nothing to rave about, just what you would expect from a budget hotel.

The room was small, really small, and clean with 2 single beds and adequate storage. The bathroom had a sliding door since there was not enough room for a swinging door. Good shower and hot water. No air conditioning though that was not a problem in June. No noise from the hall or other rooms but there was road noise... More

Stayed here for one night as part of a Contiki trip. The rooms were dated but ok. However the street noise was quite bad during the night. A lot of sirens driving past as well. However the real annoyance is that the hotel does not have wifi of any kind.

The Royal National has many good things going for it. Primarily its location, slap bang in the middle of all the tourist areas in London. It's only a three minute walk to the tube, which is on the Piccadilly Line, which brings you straight to Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Kings Cross/St Pancras and connections to lots of other places within... Stayed here in 2013, when in London for Fulham - Arsenal. Cheap Place to stay and I have no complaints. The breakfast is just as bad as they say but it´s easy to get some at a pub. Near a tube station and there are shops near for toothpaste and other travel related stuff. Helpful staff.

I stayed for 4 nights in july 2014 , and I hated it . my room was on the 7th floor with a beer garden view which was extremely noisy and staff emptying buckets of glass bottles all night and into the early hours if the morning even with the window's closed u could still hear the noise , considering... I stayed here again for three nights. Once again its central location and great value were the reason for choosing to stay here. My only gripe(s) - as it was in the middle of a particularly hot summer, we were roasted alive in the rooms at night as there's no air con....... Also, the London pub right on the grounds... More

This hotel was very reasonable in price and is centrally located in London, a half block from Russel Square Tube station and 2 blocks from the British Museum. The rooms were clean with plentiful hot water and soap and two towels. Clientele were mostly youngish in the 18 to 30 range. Breakfast was continental and fed thousands. This hotel has... More
