There is something called The Pavillion Roastery inside this hotel. You should stay very far away from it. Not only is the food barely edible, the service is simply the worst I have ever seen in any kind of establishment in four visits to London. Any fast-food place will give you much better food and much better service.

Central and ok standard. Great location. Okay room. Poor breakfast. It seemed like it was suitable for school trips, the restaurant was very cantina like and very poor. Only wifi at pizzaria. Nice little souvenir shop.

Unless you are a student travelling with your classmates (more caring about the town than about the place to stay), or an exhausted working class hero coming to London for the very fisrt time of your life, or just coming back from a third world country in a current state of war, forget about this place. No a place to... More

Huge hotel, 1600 rooms. Very very basic. Staff all foreign , could do with a few customer service lessons!! Check in a little hectic as there are so many people coming and going. Rooms clean and adequate , hair dryer , small tv. No safe. No air conditioning so rooms get rather hot. Bathroom. Clean, old fashioned sanitary wear. No... More

We stayed 4 nights and then had had enough and found another hotel for the rest of our trip. The reception staff we so rude and arrogant that our opinion of Londoners our first night was very poor. The concierge however were very helpful. The room was very poor, mattress had very questionable stains and we would have been more... More

This hotel is nothing fancy. We were given single beds which is the standard room. If your expectations are low and you are just looking for a place to sleep while you explore during the day or even a short stay, this place will do. I would like to give a special shout out to the doormen. It was a... More

I expected the hotel to be rundown but I thought it would be clean but I was so wrong. First the toilet literally had urine all over the toilet seat it also had a urine stain under the seat (which came away with my antibac) AND behind the lid where the hinges are there was urine there. the toilet lid... Stayed here for a weekend with kids. First impression was ok Line for reception was long, but moved reasonably quickly. Went up to our 2nd floor room. The corridor was littered with empty pizza boxes, bottles, cans, glasses. Just general rubbish. And the smell was awful. It smelt of food, mold and BO. I was not impressed. Found our room.... More

Although the location is great, we found the hotel itself run down and overall bad. On the hottest days of the year we found ourselves without airconditioning, no WIFI, not even in the lobby, no safety deposit box in the room, no hair dryer, a very old TV, which we would have to hit every few minutes to be able... I've stayed in many hotels in London & all over the world, I'm not overly fussy, but this place was a shocker. We arrived very hot & tired ready to collapse, to find coachloads of young tourists waiting at reception. It's a huge hotel with endless identical long dingy corridors. Our twin room was small, shabby & stiflingly hot -... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
