We booked this hotel as part of a Superbreak holiday. It's a bit out of the way, really big, had trouble finding our room. The bedroom was basic, bathroom small, but for the price paid not a bad deal. We thought that only continental breakfast was included and that full English was extra. On enquiring we found that full English... More

My wife and I stayed at the Royal National this past September, and they are set up to handle high volume, with lots of people coming and going at any time of the day. Absolutely Spartan on their approach to guests and comfort. No bath towels, just a couple of small towels and two minuscule pieces of soap that are... More

We have stayed at this Hotel every time we have been to London, for 20 years. I can not swear to it, but I feel quite sure that the towels are the same ones as on our first stay! The rooms are adequate since not much time is spent in them. The breakfast included in the price is ok, if... More

It was my first time in London and I don't know the quality of hotel services around the city centre. This hotel is situated in a good position to visit London-3minutes walk from Russel square station- breakfast was a bit poor(we had Continental breakfast)but on the average. They change towels every day (but some of them were dirty) and the... More

The Royal national is a hotel on an industrial scale-1600 rooms, one of the largest in central London based near Russell Square. it provides an borderline average hotel experience. Communal areas and corridors: Certainly feels like a step back in time somewhat 90's ish-think laminate wood and carpets with bizarre patterns. Room ; Again imagine a hotel room that hasn't... More

We have stayed in many hotels in London and this was by far the worse one we have stayed in, the room was in need of redecoration, wall paper peeling off the walls, the room smelled unclean, the beds were on wheels, every time you turned over in bed the bed moved about 5-10 inches in all directions !!! Only... More

This vast hotel is like something out of Kafka: vast, anonymous and unhelpful to the point of aggression. Rotten food, bland and tasteless, unhygienic and uncomfortable beds. The bath towels were the size of tea towels and threadbare as well. The noise from the street and the smokers drinking in the courtyard below was unbearable and continued past midnight. Don't... Our visit would have been improved if Wi fi was provided in the bedroom, it is common in most hotels in Ireland and was a surprise not to have it in a London Hotel. On a very positive not, our room was serviced excellently every day and if we met the cleaning staff on our way to breakfast they were... More

Very good price for the accommodation in this part of London. The room is average, nothing special but good quality for this price. Close to the Metro and bus station, good restaurants and cafes nearby.
