Ci sono arrivato tramite AirBnb, sotto il nome di Shah Double Room Brick Lane. Non mi aspettavo un hotel e la pulizia non era il massimo, le lenzuola da dimenticare. Riporta la recensione che ho fatto su AirBnb: "Shah has been very polite and qiuck in answering. I slept quite well in the room that was more or less what... More

Adequate modern single room for one night stay. Fairly small and it states on the hotel's website there are tea/coffee making facilities but mine didn't have any. Bathroom very small and shower ok. Fire exit light in ceiling which kept me awake at night as very bright and the restaurant downstairs can also be rather loud. Noise levels ok though... More

Our room was facing a side line - it was simple and quiet. The heating was through A/C - it was good enough. The staff was friendly. After we've checked out we have left our bags in the room and collected them in the evening - no issues. The hotel is on Brick Lane - very close to all restaurants... More

This room met all our needs, being very handy for Brick Lane and Aldgate East tube. It was neat and clean and the room itself was roomy, and good value for a part of London which is very popular at the weekends.

Stayed here while visiting my daughter. It's a Ronseal establishment - does what it says with no frills. It occupies the upper floors of a building with a Bangladeshi restaurant on the ground floor. Access is normally via a door at the side of the building, but I got no answer, so as directed, I asked at the restaurant, and... More

Stayed a couple of nights for a short trip to London. The room we were given (no6) was on the 2nd floor, so we didn't hear any noise from the restaurant on the ground floor. The room itself was well decorated at first glance, but look a bit harder and you start to notice things. Cracks, strange covers over light... More

The room was perfectly OK, reasonable decor and clean. The ensuite shower room was very small but the shower itself was good. There are no tea and coffee making facilities but for the price that's not altogether surprising. The bottom line is that this is decent value for money and therefore recommended.

Clean and pleasant. The room was small but that is the norm for single rooms in London. Helpful staff, although some more clued in than others. Basic continental breakfast not worth a tenner. There's loads of places nearby you can breakfast for less, including Ottolenghi Good location for Spitalfields and Brick Lane is lively. Touts hassle groups and pairs more... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
