We have just returned from a lovely weekend stay at the Grange Whitehall hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was lovely (room 106) it overlooked the garden and it was a lovely quiet spot. The hotel is ideally situation for most of the west end theatres. We have stayed here a few times now, and it... More

I think I've now stayed at all the Grange hotels in London, and this one lets the side down. Really small rooms, and pokey bathroom. Not impressed. The position is great though, and the staff were helpful. Free wifi is irritatingly slow. Grange hotels - get this sorted please! WiFi almost everywhere should now be fast and free.

From stepping through the doors we found the staff couldn't be more helpful. The room we were given, 105 was lovely and very quiet overlooking the back garden. Sleek furniture not bang up to date but certainly not outdated or tired. A lovely clean bathroom and bedding. Plenty of complimentary magazines, tea/coffee and bathroom supplies if needed and the hotel... More

A hotel which is little better than a Travelodge. We were given a broom cupboard masquerading as a double room. The bed (supposedly for 2 people) was little more than a large single with uncomfortable mattress. Dated black ash furniture, TV which refused to work, no minibar, large beautiful windows which unfortunately let all the street noise into the room.... More

Went there in february with my friend only for shopping. Good location, just 10-15min walk to Oxford.. just what we needed. Room: Didnt spend much time at room/hotel at all.. so the size didnt really matter. We had a balcony at our room but there was no door just a big window, guess it had a door somewhere but the... This is not one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in but it's no means the worst. Checking in is simple enough but once up in the room it just seemed a little grubby. I'd have felt peeved if I hadn't have got the Easter deal and paid full whack. £24.95 for a full English as well was far... More

We stayed there for three days with our 5 years old daughter. Room was decent and service good. Breakfast fine but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Would probably stay there again as it was close to Covent Garden and The British Museum but will go out for dinner.

Stayed 7 days in the Grange Clarendon before coming here. I had booked 7 days and then thought to extend my stay 2 days more at the Clarendon, but it was fully booked, so i thought i'd come to the White hall thinking it is not much different... and boy was I wrong... Staff is not as helpful as at... More

Not sure how this is a four star?! Before I share - for the record I am a big fan of the Grange and have used them many times when visiting London (can recommend City and St Paul's). And have also used when treating friends for birthday presents. I booked White Hall for my elderly mum and dads 50th anniversary.... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
