Stayed here for a business trip of 5 days. Don't expect anything fancy but for london it's a good hotel according to the price standards there. Room looked a bit outdated but was big enough for me and clean; bathroom also looked a bit outdated but if i can take a hot shower and have a clean bathroom it's ok... More

From the moment we stepped through the door we were greeted by staff who couldn't do enough for you. Our room was very clean bright and modern and we had an awesome view of The Shard from our window 😄

I stayed here with my son for a long weekend. I booked a family room which had a double and a single. The hotel brand pride themselves on refunding you if you don't have a good nights sleep and they don't dissapoint. The bedding and pillows were very good as was the mattress. The room is not what you would... More

This hotel is fantastic base to explore central London, all Of the major tourist attractions, via tube. We had evening dinner, prebooked table. From placing order it took 30 mins before your drinks arrive, 40 -45 mins for main course, then another 45 mins for dessert. That's even after reminding them, The food is not hot. 1 hr 50 mins... Located next to tower and the DLR for Excel, this is a great place to stay while in London for a conference. The room is nice and the place is quiet. They have a pillow-menu!! The breakfast room is in the basement and serves a really good breakfast. Free wifi, that worked well.

As usual for Premier Inn, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. This particular Premier Inn is a short walk from Tower Bridge and London Bridge station. Easy access to the South Bank and all the facilities that offers. Some good bars and restaurants close by too.

For an inner city hotel, very reasonable cost and rooms very clean and well maintained. The staff at all levels were friendly, right from the reception checking in to reception checking out, we felt very looked after. The breakfast buffet is well stocked with a large choice of foods. One tip ask for a rear room overlooking the tennis courts,... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
