We stayed for one night in the hotel as I was treating my girlfriend to a weekend in London culminating in brunch in the Shard on Sunday. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from London Bridge / The Shard and is very easy to find. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and informative. I had checked in... More

Staff very attentive and welcoming. Great nights sleep; room on fifth floor with comfortable bed and the prices and deals on eating in the restaurant are good value for money. The cooked breakfast could do with being a bit hotter, but otherwise it was very nice.

I've been staying in this hotel for 7 nights in July. It is very clean. Room and bathroom are modern in style. Bed is very comfortable. Staff is extremely nice. Huge thanks to Tom. Room has AC, which is very useful in temperature 93 F. If you are ever in need for room while in London pick this hotel. Prices... More

This hotel is well located, and its cost/value relation is really good. The staff is great, very kind and responsive. The rooms are clean and well distributed. It is very quiet indeed, the breakfast is pretty good and, overall, it met our expectations.

We had a family room which was airy and spotlessly clean. The hotel is located within walking distance of Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, Southwark and the Thames. It may be a little bit further to nearest Underground Station but a stroll takes you through some of the best movie sets ever! There are plenty of places to get... More

I like the Premier Inn as you know exactly what your getting a great nights sleep at a good price. This particular hotel is ideally located for the bars and restaurants on the river and they are all within walking distance. Its also worth shopping around I got the rate cheaper than others in my party that booked direct through... More

For a 3 day sightseeing trip with a friend and her daughter this proved to be a great choice. This location, just across Tower Bridge was ideal for The Tower of London and walks along the river. I've rarely experienced this level of comfort at this price in London. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable and of a good... More

We have now stayed at this hotel twice, in November 2014 and May this year. The hotel is fantastic value, has the location to die for and the staff to compliment everything. The rooms are ultra comfortable with everything you could need and, as well as the most comfortable bed we have found in any hotel, it is really quiet... More

I visited here in March (It's a while back i know) from having stayed at the other side of london in september. It's the perfect place!!! It's next to the tube, and has a couple of lovely pubs around it where we went for breakfast each morning. The service was great, so friendly on reception! Would definitely go back! It'... More

Stayed with a friend on a Sunday night. Very comfortable room, quite spacious with a nice bathroom. Got a good night's sleep as promised! Decent enough breakfast too for £9.75, all self service. Great location for the city, yards from Monument tube.

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
