It's a Premier Inn so you know what you're going to get in terms of the rooms & premises. This is only a matter of a few minutes walk from Tower Bridge so ideally placed for the Tower, Southbank, Bermondsey, river activities etc. Tube only 5 mins, bus directly outside & the 188 seems to cover all of London! Stayed Saturday & Sunday night here and for the price we paid this definitely exceeded our expectations. Staff were friendly and helpful and seemed to go out of their way to make conversation rather than just serve us. Rooms were a good size and clean and the bed was as comfy as they claim to be! We had a room... More

An outstanding Premier Inn - clean, comfortable and friendly. The meal deal was excellent value. Staff were really lovely and made a fuss of the children. The car park is immediately behind the hotel- a real bonus.

Great hotel and great location. The staff were fantastic and cannot be faulted. The service the staff give you would be hard pressed to find any better in any other hotel for the same money in London. Room are great and modern and decor is superb. Would highly recommend for both business and leisure.

Just came back from a 4 night stay here, where we had a triple room. The hotel is located not far from Tower Bridge and the river cruises. The hotel itself is very reasonably priced, clean, modern with friendly staff and a great breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I expected there to be noise from the traffic... More

Stayed here for a business trip of 5 days. Don't expect anything fancy but for london it's a good hotel according to the price standards there. Room looked a bit outdated but was big enough for me and clean; bathroom also looked a bit outdated but if i can take a hot shower and have a clean bathroom it's ok... More

From the moment we stepped through the door we were greeted by staff who couldn't do enough for you. Our room was very clean bright and modern and we had an awesome view of The Shard from our window 😄

I stayed here with my son for a long weekend. I booked a family room which had a double and a single. The hotel brand pride themselves on refunding you if you don't have a good nights sleep and they don't dissapoint. The bedding and pillows were very good as was the mattress. The room is not what you would... More

This hotel is fantastic base to explore central London, all Of the major tourist attractions, via tube. We had evening dinner, prebooked table. From placing order it took 30 mins before your drinks arrive, 40 -45 mins for main course, then another 45 mins for dessert. That's even after reminding them, The food is not hot. 1 hr 50 mins... Located next to tower and the DLR for Excel, this is a great place to stay while in London for a conference. The room is nice and the place is quiet. They have a pillow-menu!! The breakfast room is in the basement and serves a really good breakfast. Free wifi, that worked well.

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
