While we were very pleased with the location, that was about it. The room was fairly noisy, both from the street and form somebody playing a guitar in the middle of the night. The room regularly smelled like slightly off fish. The kitchen sink and toilet leak and one night the ceiling above our bed started leaking on the bed.... More

I stayed here on Saturday night (1st Feb) after having had a few drinks and hence not being able to drive home I looked for somewhere at late notice to lay my head for the night. Oh dear....besides the owner taking 20 mins to find a room and a key...blame the expedia app for that. The room was tragic...a very... More

We booked a twin but were given a double for our first night, this was an honest mistake and was resolved very quickly which was great. The breakfast wasn't brilliant but was at least edible and gave us something to start the day with. The woman who runs the place was very nice with us and it's also in a... More

The negative reviews are quite appalling. For the price we paid we had a very large room, clean bedding, cooking facilities, free wifi and of course a fantastic breakfast served by friendly staff. Bea was very welcoming and friendly. Her staff were very courteous. Our room was cleaned and bed turned down daily (really didnt expect this). For the price... More

I have stayed in one or two run down establishments in my time but not one as decrepit and unhealthy as this one ! Please, do yourself a big favour and do not waste either your hard-earned money or your health ! As a 'Senior' and honest-reporting traveller on this website for many years (see my other frank opinions on... More

Ring this place up with a booking enquiry, and when you tell them it's just for one person you get the brush-off. It’s very polite: “the rates would be quite high for a single person. I’m sorry”. Maybe they should change their name from “Guest House” to “House with guest rooms, but only for those that have a wife/husband”.

Booked here as there was 3 of us and needed something close to Kensington. For the price we paid we got exactly what I was expecting. The bedding was clean and the 3 bed room ok. It suited our purposes for one night

If you require five star accommodations, this B & B is not for you. However if you are a budget minded traveler that needs a room to store your luggage while you explore the city and a nice place to sleep at night with a hot breakfast brought to your room in the morning, then don't pass up this gem.... I had read the previous reviews so I was prepared for bad. It wasn't as bad as I feared. The room was a good size. Bed linens were clean. Bea was indeed a very nice lady and the breakfast was decent enough. It was literally next door to the Tube. And minutes away from Portabello Rd. The road was tree... More

I recently stayed at this B & B for a few nights. The location is great, the staff friendly and the sheets are clean. There is also a fridge and microwave. But I am afraid these good points are where it ends. Firstly, the smell on entering the place is of old mouldy carpet and dog doo. The room was... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
