A nice quiet little place, with friendly helpful staff. It's a cheap bed, in a great location, which is far enough away from the hustle. Yet still closed enough to be in the middle of it within minutes. The subway is only a few minutes walk away, where you have direct access to the District, and Piccadilly Line. Showers could... This hostel Will be your perfect new home while in London. I've had the chance to stay there for 2 weeks and had absolutely a stunning time. The team is super friendly, rooms are pretty new and you'll get to use free wifi and a fully furnished kitchen in the basement. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Me and two of my friends stayed here for a night as part of a weekend away in London (we're students in Bristol). The hostel was cheap, and we weren't expecting much for £20 each. However, the hostel was wonderfully clean and modern, with very comfy beds and incredible heating (it was freezing outside, but lovely and warm inside!). The... More

More

Nice place with a good tube link into the city. We took the private room in the back, a small room but just for sleeping, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was a little aged but did the job with a nice terrace out the back. The staff were fantastic and very helpful offering advice and a wide range of excursions.

Just had one night at the Earl's Court YHA and would have liked to stay longer. Well situated for tubes, but we walked from Victoria which took a bit longer than the 1/2 hour stated on WalkIt, but that was mainly because of the interesting shops and food markets we passed. Lovely room in courtyard, adequate kitchen (which could do... More

Nice place with a good tube link into the city. The room was a pretty standard youth hostel dorm. The kitchen was a little aged but did the job with a nice terrace out the back. The staff were fantastic and very helpful offering advice and a wide range of excursions.

Stayed here in the private rooms downstairs (which isn't the basement....it's the ground floor). The hostel is in a great location...super easy walk to Earls Court tube station. Or there's a bus that stops just around the corner that gets you to or from Victoria train and coach station. Lots of places to grab a beer or groceries etc so... More

another poor excuse for hostel accommodation in London. I stayed in one of the basement rooms. The whole place was smelly and dirty. The weather during the summer was particulary warm and there was no air-conditioning. In addition they had not any extra fans to hand out. When I questioned this - I was told that London doesn't really experience... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our hostel – I’m very sorry that we ran short of fans when you stayed with us last summer. It’s always disappointing when we fall short of our customers’ expectations and we will always try to remedy this at the time so I’m sorry this doesn’t seem to have happened during your... More

Stayed for 6 nights with family over New Year 2014/15. Great location and reception is well managed. Room clean and tidy, showers work well, and both lounges and kitchen are all fine. However our room was next to showers and if we weren't very tired from busy days we would have been woken up by people showering at odd times... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
