You know where you stand with YHA - reliable, decent standard, good staff, good price and decent clean rooms and facilities. This hostel is all that - and well worth exploring as it has a great lounge, outside terrace and patio area for seating and meals al fresco and the showers and loos are in good nick. If all hostelers... More

Stayed with 3 friends back in February for one night and doubt I would return. We stayed in a private room which was very cramped with two bunk beds, mirror and a sink. The cleaning was acceptable but not perfect. We were under the impression we would have our own toilet but was horrified to find that the nearest toilets... More

Hi, I been there for 8 days and is in a very good location. Great chicken, very good garden, cool people in the reception (except the sr at night, black man of pretty bad mood). Good showers, with hot water 24 hs, good lockers to put your luggage. When I go back to London definitely I will come back.

There are a few things to be aware of when staying at a YHA Hostel. First, I will say that for the price, this was a nice place to stay. It was a walk's distance from Earl's Court Underground which was helpful. The rooms were clean and the people in general:: staff and fellow travelers were nice and I never... More

I and my wife stayed for 10 nights in this hostel. Contrary to my limited exposure of staying in various hostels where staff usually remain indifferent towards the guests, perhaps because of many genuine reasons, I and my wife found the entire team of Earls Court, for some incomprehensible reasons, bright, courteous, caring, down to earth and the one who... Within the first 5 minutes of my stay at this hostel I encountered problems. I got to my dorm-style room and found someone's clothes on the bed that was assigned to me. It turned out that another man had been assigned my bed. He had a receipt that had my same bed number on it, so it seemed liked we... More

Hi Carl, I'm so sorry you had problems with the bed allocation in your room, this shouldn't have happened once, let alone twice, and it seems to have got us off on the wrong foot! I'll look into what went wrong - it would help me greatly if you could let me know which date you stayed. Receipts always show... More

There are good hostels (See Circus Hostel, Berlin or KEX in Reykjavik)...and then there's just a place to crash for the night. There really wasn't a social scene here so if you're a solo traveler it's not really a good place to be. The staff are very friendly so I'd give them a higher rating but the facilities are in... The location is very good, only 5 minutes walk from the Tube, and there're all kinds of fast food chains nearby. I slept in a 6-bed male only room in the basement. The bed is clean and comfortable, and it's steady that I can climb up and down without making any sound. You also get a locker to put in... More

Hi Daniel, it sounds like you really enjoyed your stay with us! Don't forget you never need to feel lonely in London though....there's so much to do where you can meet other travellers and have some fun - things like a jetboat on the Thames, theatre nights, pub crawls - just come and see us at reception next time you... What are you going to get for a £30 per night youth hostel just on the border of central London? Not the Ritz, that's for certain but good value for money! The hostel is located a 5 minute walk away from Earls Court station which is surrounded by beautiful houses resided by the elite. I stayed here to visit a friend... More
