This hostel is nice, and gives you good value for your money. The location is awesome since it is a 10 minute walk from Victoria Coach Station and Pimlico tube station. The beds are pretty comfortable but a bit squeaky. Cleanliness could be better but it is okay. A short walk from several sights! Recommended if you don't mind sharing... More

I really think is one of the best!Since I've been travelling in the last 7 years and stayed in hostels for sometimes I'll definitly put the "Astor" in the top 3!!! There's always something going on,the crew who's working in is friendly and if they can help you in anyway, sure they will! there are 2 kitchens so you'll not be... More

This hostel has a mixture of good and bad points. I'll go through the positives first and add the other points at the end. There are some entertaining ones! To start, this hostel is located within a great reach of Victoria/Pimlico stations, so you can pretty much travel to anywhere within London without too much hassle, north, south, central, or... Has everything you'd expect from a hostel, and the staff try to keep it clean. The breakfast had a nice selection, and it was pretty close to some major tourist sights. The room I was in only had one set of plugs for everyone to share and it was right next to the door so that was a bit inconvenient... More

The hostel isn't bad. It's close to bus stations and the Pimlico tube station. There are also lots of restaurants about a five minute walk away, as well as a grocery store. The hostel itself is fine. Beds and rooms aren't that bad. Bathrooms are a little difficult and the showers are hard to work. I heard the toilets are... More

I had a good experience staying one night here. The staff was helpful, the bed was comfy and clean, and the pub crawl (Big Night Out) is a lot of fun and a good way to meet travelers. Breakfast was only 1 pound and had a lot of different food available. There were security cages under the beds that fit... More

This hostel was a little hard to find due to the nature of street names in the city, but it is close to the Victoria Coach and Train stations, so you can get anywhere in the city you need to go. The staff were super friendly and gave us great suggestions for getting around the city. The breakfast was biscuits,... More

I stayed at Astor Victoria with 4 of my friends for my 21st birthday at the start of May. The hostel only cost us about £20 each which was great value considering that it's located in a lovely part of West London (Pimlico) and also how it is located a short walk away from Victoria Train/coach stations - making it... Pros: Friendly staff Good breakfast with biscuits, cereal, and coffee/tea/juice (50p donation) Clean dorms Clean washrooms Great wifi connection from the kitchen and common areas Awesome location, very easy to access using the tube or bus Under the bed storage was big enough for a cabin sized luggage and one hand carry. Cons: Sinks in washroom are tiny, making it... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
