I have backpacked many places in the USA and Latin America, this is my first trip to Europe. I have stayed in many hostels and this was by far the overall best one. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, sheets as well (not always the case in hostels)...the staff was plentiful and always eager to help a lost soul...the staff... More

Positives: - great location - helpful staff - good hostel atmosphere with the people staying - warm rooms (thanks to central heating) - dampers on doors to enable doors to close quietly when exiting room - reasonable price - ATM in foyer Negatives: - rooms don't have much noise isolation from each other (you can hear another door close) and... There are two desks at reception, even if there are two staff members behind there and a long queue - they only ever have one person serve. They have a wall of staff photos there and not one is British, which is a shame as its England and you won't the whole experience you know. The staff are not very... More

This is the worst hostel of the whole world. The personal were very rude. Rooms were dirties and noisy. The person in the reception was very stupid. The breakfast was horrible. Everything was extremely bad.

in fact not clean at all; breakfast was ok; the location was compensating for this, being next to Victoria station and easy accessible for major attractions like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Parliament, London Eye

Well this place had many pros and few cons, so I will put it like this: - very close to city attractions (you can basically go by foot) - close to metro and bus stations (like 1 minute on foot) - very nice and helpful staff - free wifi - staff will print for you some stuff that you need... More

I stayed here for a period of a few weeks when first moving to London and found the staff to be incredibly helpful, often going above and beyond what was expected of them. The free breakfast is great, very filling and better than any included breakfast I've had at other hostels. The place is always clean, and the bathrooms are... More

Awesome youth hostel. It is everything you expect from a hostel, but very comfortable and accomadting. It was a great value, with a lot of free offerings ( towels, locks, lockers, storage, breakfast, etc.). It is a hostel, so it can get loud at times, obviously. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the showers ran well, the breakfast is "simple"... More

I really enjoyed this hostel, it was reasonably priced for a central London hostel, the staff were really nice and helpful, met some great people there. The breakfast is modest but very good for being included in the price. You also get free coffee, tea and milk all day, free wifi, adaptors, blow driers, hair straighteners and much more, pretty... Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
