I had a great stay at Abba Queen's gate. The hotel was easy to find with the Trip Advisor City Guide App. The location was great for my purpose, only a 5 min walk from Exibition Rd. Harrods was within walking distance, and so was a lot of nice cafes and restaurants. The breakfast could have been better, but they... More

We chose to stay in this area as we were spending an evening at the Albert Hall. Excellent location, with Kensington nearby, good public transport, and the museums. The hotel is in a lovely building, well renovated, very well kept, with modern amenities, room very clean and orderly, very nice bathroom too. The staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, a... More

The location of the hotel is good, with buses a 5-minute walk and the Tube a 10-minute walk away. We found the staff to be quite good, with the exception perhaps of the cleaning staff knocking on our door at 8 am on our final day (despite having requested an extra hour for check-out). The rooms and overall hotel were... More

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, 1st night was lovely and we received excellent service and the room was great, breakfast was lovely although a little pricey but for a business trip it was ideal for us. The 2nd night we got in from a long day working and decided to eat in the hotel bar rather than... More

The Abba hotel is a great"small" hotel right across from Imperial college and very close to the Royal Albert Hall and some of the great museums nearby. The room was very clean, the breakfast buffet was excellent, as was the friendliness of the staff. The only minor disadvantage is the 10 minute walk to the nearest tube stations, which can... More

We arrived back from our day out at about 10:45 and decided to go for a drink in the bar! There seemed to be only one member of staff on serving drinks and meals whilst the receptionist just floated around promising that someone would be with us shortly. It took 4 or 5 customers complaining to the receptionist and asking... More

Great hotel in terms of our room but the staff really could do with some training. One guy in particular received 2 customers' wrath as he was not willing to help the lone bar girl. Other than the girl the staff were all words and no action. Pity as it's a nice hotel in a good location. Our triple room... More

Clean, contemporary, spacious rooms. Comfy beds. Bar area not fantastic but ok. A bit bare, not very comfortable seating, barman ( very nice) can be under pressure if there is a crowd. Small detail in an otherwise very pleasant hotel. Also a bit of a walk from tube stations ( Gloucester rd or Kensington high st). No prob for the... More

Me and three friends stayed in this hotel. We had a room for 4 with four single beds. It was lovely and big. Very clean and comfortable beds. Will stay here again when visiting London. Great location for museums and kings road shopping!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
