Good, clean hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very good for an overnight stay. The location was perfect for the royal Albert hall, natural science museum, the V and A and Hyde park and more.... Only complaint was the breakfast, there was plenty of choice but not very good quality.

7 of us stayed here over a weekend to go and see a show at the Albert hall which was only 5 minutes walk away . The hotel and staff were lovely and helpful especially with my wheelchair. Although they don't have a restaurant the bar meals are gorgeous and we had a 3 course meal in our room .... More

Queens Gate is a classic London porticoed terrace with Kensington Gardens and Hyde park at the end of the road with buses to all London sights nearby and South Kensington and Glouscester Road Underground a short walk. I am severely mobility impaired but found the 5 steps to the door not too mu8ch of a hindrance as staff were on... More

2 minutes walk, reasonable price for London - excellent accommodation, friendly staff and good bar area for a post concert tipple. Close to the Natural History and Science Museums and a short stroll to the RAH.

Arrival and check in a good experience. Room small with the most difficult access to a shower/ bath I've ever experienced. We always find London hotels have small rooms. Beds very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep and I'm fussy. Room very clean and in good repair. Breakfast expense and just ok. We ate in hotel bar a... More

The location was perfect to the Royal Albert Hall. Less than ten min walk. Hyde park at the top of the road. Kensington 15/20 minute walk away. A clean, tidy, friendly hotel with excellent staff. Beds are AMAZING! The biggest bed we have stayed in! Bathrooms are clean and the showers are powerful. All in all a lovely stay would... More

The location is just brilliant. Roughly 5 minutes walk to the Museum of Natural History and the Royal Albert hall is just a few minutes walk, so is Hyde park. Plenty of nice places to eat close by. The hotel itself is pretty nice, although the rooms are a tad small but that's to be expected of London. However, it's quite... More

This place is great for the Royal Albert Hall. However we couldnt get a drink or snack after 11.30 at night and went to bed hungry. Not good for London. Decent breakfast though and staff were friendly. The room was nice and location quiet for London

We stayed here because of its close distance to Royal Albert Hall, but loved its convenience to so many locations. The tube station is a short walk away, as is Hyde Park and the Natural History and Victoria & Albert museums. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our first room was underwhelming, with some needed repairs. When we talked to... More

My partner and I stayed here for one night, it was the perfect location, close to shops, restaurants, tube and shops, we also went to the museum that was across the road before we left. Staff was super friendly and the room was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
