It was the first time we stayed in this newly decorated hotel located in a very convenient area near to 3 major museums, the Knightsbridge shopping area and close to Tube and Bus Stations. The rooms were comfortable, the staff very friendly and the breakfast buffet excellent. We highly recommend it.

Typically, it’s one of those hotels that looks great on the web, but reality is never quite the same. Even standing outside it looks really good – a great façade on Queens Gate, just around the corner from the Royal Albert Hall – which was the reason for booking this. At £167 it was never cheap – but the location... More

Well I booked my room a month in advance and specifically asked to be put on a higher floor and not street facing. I also mentioned this on the check in day, the receptionist went in a room to discuss with someone else and came out quite sheepishly and said if you don't like your room we can change it... More

My daughter and I stayed for a night in half term. Great location, lovely room, excellent breakfast, utterly charming and helpful staff - didn't catch the names other than Vangelis on the front desk and Ade in the dining room. We would be very happy to stay there again.

Our hotel room had wallpaper that was peeling off the wall, bedding that had a stench and a really unclean bathroom. In fact it was so bad we had to check out within 10 minutes of arriving as it was causing distress to a family member who had recently had health issues. Within that ten minutes we overheard a member... More

Stayed one night during February half term. Very welcoming and friendly receptionist. Room spacious, clean and well decorated. A welcome change from Premier inn with plenty of character, large antique fireplace and enormous 6 foot bed. Bath and shower great and all working fine with plenty of hot water. Even got a free bottle of wine. Breakfast provided plenty of... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
