I really enjoyed staying at the Queen's Gate hotel. Although some of the rooms are very small, the hotel is quaint, clean and the staff is great. The location is also perfect - easy walk to the tube and a few small restaurants around the corner. Also an easy walk to Kensington Palace, Kensington Square and Albert Hall. What I... More

Good choice of hotel for the Kensington area of London. Comfortable, somewhat small but well appointed room with double bed. Ours was on the fourth floor at the front of the hotel and with plenty of light. Functional bathroom with big fluffy towels but shower rather cramped and small. Although we did not have time to use it, the bar... More

As we were attending an event at The Royal Albert Hall this hotel was very conveniently placed. We had booked a twin room but were allocated a triple. Room was spacious and beds very comfortable. The air conditioning leaked and left a large puddle on the floor. Bar staff struggled to get the order correct and did over charge. This... More

My wife and I stayed at the Queens Gate Hotel for our Wedding Anniversary. She has a wheat allergy, so when we asked the staff what gluten free food they served, we were told none!! Just as confirmation we asked another member of staff and worded it differently to ensure that there was no confusion, we were told the same... More

Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and made my husband and I feel very welcome. We were going to a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and also the show Billy Elliot near Victoria, so the location of this hotel was ideal for both of these events. The room was clean, with a very comfortable Queen bed and toiletries were... More

We stayed at Queensgate with a tour group from the United States. We had a very pleasant stay here, and enjoyed the nearby Kensington Gardens, Albert Hall, and walking distance to Harrod's. We especially liked Victor, who checked on us each day to make sure we were pleased with our stay. He is a wonderful young man and a hard... More

Stayed here a few years back but didn't get a chance to write a review! Stayed here with my family as we were attending the Chelsea Flower Show so had to get two rooms for people to share, the hotel was immaculate and the staff were lovely. Only stayed 2 nights but we were in a gorgeous room, it was... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
